  1. Cleveland Rocks is incredibly cheesy and I'm glad sanity prevailed. I'll let you guys in on some insider Ohio knowledge. This isn't a particularly refined state that puts a lot of thought into marketing, or anything, really. The team sold out basically every game in the 90s and now no one even bothers unless they're sniffing the postseason (could be awhile). It's a largely bandwagon following and I don't see that changing in the near future. We're the people who vacation in Mexico and ask where the hot dogs are at the resort buffet.

  2. So put him in the field to protect a lead and pinch run him when need be. The guy hasn't batted over .200 since 2017 and he only played 37 games. His career OBP is under .300. Can't run the bases well if you're never f*ckin on em.

  3. I’m not going to add eyeballs because I’ve been wrong more times than I count on his call up but he’s out of the lineup tonight. I’m not sure why he’d be given a night off considering Worcester didn’t play on 7/5 or 7/2 unless a call up is coming tomorrow. There’s currently an opening on the 40 man roster in addition to the good possibility of Santana hitting the IL tomorrow. If this isn’t it I’m permanently banning myself from this thread!

  4. Every offering is down at least 1 full tick from last year (except infrequent Curve)... But as long as the shoulder stuff is in the rear-view, then he should be quite effective moving forward, last night: FA- sat 93 MPH, it is averaging 93.7 on the season, it averaged 95.1 last year, it had really sweet vertical action last night (like usual) a real barrel dancer, had 5 called strikes and 1 whiff SL- sat 86 mph, what it averages this year, last year it was 87.5 mph, great movement--had 2 called strikes and 3 whiffs FS- the split is really his game changer (basically a hybri

  7. Another solid outing. The command can still come/go but that isn't uncommon for a young arm still figuring out sequencing and trusting his stuff. After looking over the charts from last night, I am getting some real Skubal-type vibes and think he could be on the verge of a break-through: FA- sat 95 MPH, from the left side that is nearly plus, excellent break on the pitch too. He fired 21 with 5 called strikes and 1 whiff SI- comes in around the same speed as the FA, but compliments it v well with awesome horizontal action on it--as well as plenty (though less) of vert moves, thr

  11. Found this list of RB's who suffered the injury... https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/news/fantasy-football-cam-akers-injury-fallout-plus-mike-williams-elijah-moore-and-my-favorite-sleepers-for-2021/ It's hard to find a comprehensive list of running backs who have suffered an Achilles rupture, but I think I have a pretty definitive list and it is … ugly. So, so ugly: LenDale White, 2010 (age 26) -- Never played in the NFL again Andre Brown, 2010 (24) -- Out of the league by 2013 Mikel Leshoure, 2011 (21) -- Out of the league by 2013 Earnest Graham, 2011 (31

  20. To clarify some of the confusion above: Eric Longenhagen is the Fangraphs scouting guy and he's legit great at his job. Listen to a podcast with him featured or read any of his chats and you'll quickly realize that he's one of the best in the business. Having said that, he's basically Fangraphs' only actual scout right now, and other (paid) sources with more scouts and resources are likely more worthwhile if you have the money to invest in a membership. I do think Longenhagen/Fangraphs is the best free option available. Nailing scouting grades is an impossible task and every single

  26. People are ok taking other pills, will pound peds, roids, eat like ****, take pills that list 8900 side effects but you'll sure have one nice boner, list goes on and on but a vaccine that millions are fine overall taking and can simply help put this thing away like many many other illnesses in history where vaccines are what eradicated them, but they're not ok doing this. It's ridiculous honestly, absolutely ridiculous.

  29. Well... If you are Corey Dillon it means 360 touches. If you are Ben Jarvis Green Ellis it means 300 touches. If you are Stevan Ridley it means 296 touches. If you are LaGarrette Blount it means 306 touches. Belichick has invested very little in RB and put capital into Brady and OLine, but when he gets a guy that doesn't fumble and can run between the tackles he'll ride him. There is no Brady, so he could look for stability in a strong runner he likes, he obviously isn't impressed with Michel and he's knees are shotty. Harris very well could be the guy, he average 5

  35. Gents, Has been awhile since I've posted a guy that I'm on in every league, and so I present, Jose Miranda. And it's his 23rd birthday today, so why not have a thread for him. Miranda, 6'2 210lbs, was a CBB pick, 73rd overall, by the Twins back in '16'. While he struggled in his GCL debut in '16, he hit admirably in 2017 and 2018 with a good walk to K ratio, but then seemed to struggle as a 20-21 year old in the FSL. We know though what that league does to suppress power. In 2020-early 2021, Miranda was able to play against some good competition in Winter Ball. Entering 2021 fresh o

  41. Yeah, that was pretty sweet yesterday: FA- was up 1 full tick, sitting at 95+ mph! and hitting 98, pitch just has so much movement, esp vertically, tossed 34--4 called strikes and 7 whiffs SI- was featured much more yesterday, sitting 93-95 mph, another absurd mover but complements the FA well with alomst 2x the horizontal action, threw 26--5 called strikes/3whiffs CH- was also worked in more, it is so nasty with outstanding vert and horizontal actions, he was freezing guys with it--esp in upper quadrants of the zone, love that wrinkle! He sat with the offering at 82/83 mph (gre

  42. I see the “get rid of saves because of committees” comment made over and over and I don’t get it. NFL has gone massive RB by committee…did leagues just stop drafting RBs? No, the elite bell cows hold a ton of value, and everyone is in the same boat regarding committees and the division of production. So, who cares? How is this any different? I own Clase and Taylor Rogers. They are worth it because they get the occasional save AND good ratios. Others may not be, and we all have to weigh that for our team. Every team in the league has to weigh the same things. Fantasy baseball doesn’
