  1. No posts on Romero since January. He had a minor blip to start the season but has been pretty lights out since. Tonight 5 IP, 3 H, 1 BB, 1ER, 9 ks I think he's very close to being a top 10 SP in the minors right now but gets overlooked a lot. He should be promoted soon, but at this point might not be until start of next season. Decent shot to reach the majors next year. h/t @fawkes_mulder for bringing him to my attention last year.

  2. As usual, props to @brockpapersizer for posting about these seemingly-fringe guys who are putting up big numbers.

  4. If you look in a dictionary under JAGOFF, this analysis will be there (yinzers will get this). Seriously, you cannot write off every prospect that doesn't have great scouting reports, especially those who have a 171 wRC+ at AAA. I mean, you can, you'll just be at a disadvantage over those who are actually doing their homework.

  5. No thread on him. Mashing in AAA after mashing in AA. Walking, hitting for average, and slugging. Not much if any speed though. Seems more deserving of 2nf half PT than Austin Meadows. I think I could be a huge pickup in NL Only leagues and maybe some deepers. Any thoughts?

  6. Hailed as the best shooter in Europe. Has a 6'11" reach and can create on offense. The Kings desperately need scoring help and gave him the biggest rookie contract ever. He may start from day one next to Buddy on the wing. Could he be this year's big surprise sleeper?

  10. This is definitely the most logical thing to do.

  11. With the Braves fading, I think the most realistic target date is now the second week of April. I can't imagine that they try to wait until Super-Two next season (but I acknowledge its possible). I also guess its possible that they give him a September call up, but that's incredibly poor asset management imo because you're giving up a year of team control for a meaningless month of baseball. Second week of April 2018 allows you to compete next season and keep the control... a la Kris Bryant.
