  1. Sounds like Nikola owns himself in fantasy

  2. Just wanted to post this from an article I just read. For people that are wondering if Okafor is frozen in time: "So, look at a player like Okafor. He’s supposedly lost 20-pounds after going on a vegan diet and has been working on his 3-point shot. Conditioning? In fact, hours before the trade, Philly writers reported, Okafor was the last player on the court after shootaround wrapped up. He was doing conditioning drills and putting up shots" Yeah I am still of the believe that Okafor is going to be motivated to prove something and will do really well there. And in case

  3. I have seen them both play many times now (I like them both) and I am wondering why too? Simmons is 2nd in the NBA in steals, 4th in the NBA in assists, 14th in the NBA in rebounds. Leads all rookies in scoring, rebounds, assists, steals. Shooting 50% from the field and almost averages 1 block a game (0.8) I mean I could see if you don't really consider him a rookie. That is ok then. But if you do think he is eligible as a rookie, so why is Mitchell ROY then?

  4. Yeahhh...can we just focus on Okafor? Don't care if you're a newbie or a vet, Don't care if you own Okafor or you don't. Don't care if you love him and think he'll drop triple doubles in 40 mins a game (or whatever inflated stats), or if you hate him and think he'll bottom out with under 20 minutes a game. Stop telling people to run and go grab him, or to stay away, because I think we're all giving our unsolicited advice based on our own situations. It's becoming unproductive when we not only disagree but also start throwing shade on each other. Say what

  5. nah, tell that to TJ Warren owners last year.. haha concussions are a weird one, there's been guys that came back the next day or two because it was actually nothing in the end, and then there were guys who were out weeks.

  6. He is better than Ricky. Better pray that Ricky is the one that is traded.

  7. Is there any chance this guy gets traded so it can Ricky & rudy’s team. This guy is way too ball dominant and killing other team members production

  8. For those interested: A player in the concussion protocol program can’t return to the floor until the following: He is without concussion-related symptoms at rest. He has been evaluated by a physician. He has successfully completed the NBA return-to-participation exertion protocol. A team physician has discussed the return-to-participation process and decision with the Director of the NBA concussion program, Dr. Jeffrey Kutcher. Ultimately, the decision as to when a player will return will be made by the team physician. From the NBA’s

  10. So that's the big question. I think LaVine's return may help Nwaba. My guess is Valentine is the starter because he has more range, so presumably more offense. When LaVine comes back, they would get the offense from the SG, and would need a great defender at SF. That's Nwaba. Also note they are not getting great defense out of Lauri/Portis/Mirotic at the 4, so they need it from the SF position. All this is pure speculation, however, on a very small sample size. Be warned. I've been holding Nwaba on my IL since the first breakout game without Valentine, on the presumptio

  12. Hahaha, oh man, the salt is real. Mitchell too ball dominant? Dude is a willing passer and is the Jazz's best offensive player right now. He's the reason why other guys are getting more open looks. Him and Ingles have a great rapport. His PnR game with Favors has also been good. Do you even watch the games? Rubio is awkward out there, shoots long 2s, and is hesitant to play aggressive and draw fouls. He's not enough of an offensive threat to open opportunities for other guys out there at the moment. They're calling plays for Mitchell because he's just that g

  13. Sounds like you’re a Ricky/Rudy owner. Rudy will get his, he’s just coming off an injury right now. Why would any team trade away their first round pick especially when that pick is already showing dividends? This kid is their future and could be the new face of the franchise. ricky was never meant to be the face of this team when Hayward left, a prime facilitator at best but we are now witnessing the Donovan show.

  14. Well, yeah. But it would be nice to have a little clarity from people who follow the Magic and/or this situation more closely than I do. With one more move left this week, it'd help to get more info right now since there's really no timetable for his return.

  18. Great game. Problem is his ft killing me in roto. I dont even have drummond ane dj and im the 5th worse in 14 teams. I cant even blame anthony davis or henson since henson is low volume. Dipo is high volume.. still he helped me in other cats.

  21. I think his value suffered a bit when he went on that cold streak from the 3s, but I believe what we are seeing now is more or less what he should be able to offer ROS. I know it is an AC forum discussion, but I personally would not accept Bradley for him. It is hard to come across someone who gives you consistent blks this year, aside from the fact that he gives you 3s and decent %s as well. In any case, if there is a player you are after, this would be a good time to try to work a trade. I have faith in him though, patience is important.

  25. If he can stay out if foul trouble he will be fine. People are overreacting as nobody on the wire can give you the popcorn plus the 1-1-1 that he does. He’s not going to average more than 14ppg even as a starter but that’s not what you grab him for. He’s like a smaller and less patient and horford with a less defined role.

  26. Height is not really a big issue now, his play style fits perfectly beside Lavine and Dunn. He doesn't need ball in his hands, he does the dirty things. If he can develop a 3 ball, then he will be a prototype 3 & d guy, and when I say D, not only D like bruce bowen who is great defender but doesn't put up the in steals and blocks. This guy has upside to be stocks galore

  29. That's great but last time I checked usage wasn't a category in standard fantasy leagues. His numbers are virtually identical across the board compared to last season and there was an expectation for at least a marginal improvement at the very least in scoring. A repeat of last seasons numbers was and is his floor. Not improving from his floor when the opportunity is there for him to do so (generally what happens when a franchise player gets moved on like PG did) is the reason you're seeing disappointment. That and the fact that in the 2nd and 3rd rounds there were others who people picke

  30. His usage is up this season. His numbers tonight were more or less in line with preseason fantasy production projections. I have no idea what any of you were expecting but it has departed from everyone else's reality.

  31. Why was the Ohtani thread suddenly locked here? Please open it asap. He just made a commitment to the Angels and he isn't a minor league prospect so his thread in the Minor League Forum should be the one locked now. Waiting until an official signing after the deal was announced is silly. This is one of the most major things this forum is about. Discussing the latest big breaking news in MLB. Rotoworld blurbthat belongs in Ohtani's thread sine this is no longer hot stove news er se but Ohtani news. Hello, the Angels. Not the Angels' farm system. Let us d

  32. LOL @ all the people hating.. 100% these people missed out on him yesterday and they are EXTREMELY bitter. Be quicker next time you losers. So what if he sucks....we all dropped the garbage at the end of our bench for him. If he sucks, we drop him and move on to the next hyped up FA on the WW. Haters acting like people drafted Jah in the 3rd round of the draft. WE GOT HIM FROM THE WIRE FOR FREE!!!! If the upside doesn't materialize, hes cut. Big effing deal. Stop hating just because you were too slow to get him.

  34. Anyone else in H2H that basically adjusted over to a full on punt TO-team with him? I drafted with the hope of trying to be okay in that category, but it’s pretty tough to do with embiid lol. With that Said I’m not complaining, just traded for another Turnover-machine from the punt assists guy in our League and My team is looking pretty mean now.

  35. I'm very curious to what model for xBABIP and xAVG / peripheral base you're using that would suggest Mookie should've hit between .296 (+20 Hs) and .312 (+30 Hs). I'm going to be very clear on two things here: 1.) I absolutely believe that part of Mookie's problem was injury related and that with his natural talent I'm optimistic about a rebound, but also, 2.) Mookie's problem is 2017 was absolutely not luck. Maybe luck played *some* factor in Mookie's game, perhaps he should've earned a .270-.280 type BABIP, but there's GLARING red flags to me i

  37. Cardinals signed him to a 2 year $15.5 million deal so they must believe in him. Also means there were probably other clubs boosting up his value. The deal also ensures he will be given legitimate shot to start at the beginning of the year. He's a name to monitor, not sure I'd draft him in a standard 12 teamer at this point.

  38. The ignorance of these kind of statements never ceases to amaze me. He will be worked in slowly but that's not his decision. It's the decision of the medical staff and the bigger picture (tanking) of the franchise.
