  2. Over reactions lol. I guess it's easier just to jump to conclusions and state claims like they're facts than it is to spend 2 minutes doing research to see that he was in foul trouble all game. First of all, very small sample size. Milsap has only played in 2 games. He hadn't played with the team for 3 months prior to coming back against the Clippers. Second of all, Jokic shot 5 times in each of the last 2 games but he shot 7-8 free throws so the low number of shots isn't quite as low as it seems. Regardless, Jokic's value doesn't come from scoring a ton of points, and he's not our go-to numbe

  3. Yea back Monday hopefully... Then I wouldn't be surprised if he misses the next two games because his cat died or something...

  6. He was around top 20-25 before Sap went down so that is all I am basing it on. It was a little sample so we will see.

  10. Only scarce position is SP. SP is very thin. Question marks related to injury and injury recovery abound even with the top guys..Kershaw, Madbum. Managers seldom allow pitchers to throw more than 6-7 innings per start and go well over 200 innings So asuming a 1400 IP cap, you really need 6 SP. Given a standard 12 team league and that's 72 SP right there. But there are always injuries, skipped starts, "lets flirt with a 6 man rotation" and some starts you just don't want to risk ( your N#5 guys@Colorado ) . And after 72, things get really scary in a hurry. You got bad peripher

  11. From what I've seen so far.. this is my top 10 fantasy list. MLB value would look different.. 1) Travis Swaggerty - if the launch angle bumps his power up to 50-55, he's the most valuable player in the class, IMO. He already had tool grades projected to be above 55 for everything besides power. The early signs are the launch angle has done some good things to his game. 6XBH though 9 games and had 24 all of last year. 2) Shane Mclanahan - Best stuff in the class, 32K through 18IP, control is a bit of a concern but the stuff is top shelf.. A LHP throwing 100mph is absurd.

  12. I'd give it a little for them to get a groove going. Right before Milsap got hurt they were figuring it out after weeks of struggling

  13. DJ has been quietly crushing it these last two weeks. Might end the season as a top 85 player.

  15. Looks like Singer was 92-94 in the first inning. Other lines of note: Griffin Roberts: 8 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 11 K Blaine Knight: 6 IP, 6 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 4 K Rolison's game got rained out. Seth Beer obliterated a baseball tonight: That was off a pretty good pitcher in Adam Hill of South Carolina. He actually had a no hitter up to that point when Beer hit the HR. Some notes on him: Another guy BA has talked about before is Konnor Pilk

  18. Daniel Norris could wind up being a sneaky addition to this list if he fails to secure a starting spot in the Tigers rotation this spring--especially considering that he owns a pretty stellar 2.39 career ERA during his first time through the order (as opposed to an unsightly 5.77 ERA between his 2nd and 3rd times around). ‎ Plus, he's been sporting an 80-grade, Archie Bradley-esque beard of late, so you just know this is something the baseball gods are going to want to get behind.

  19. It was nice to see Bumgarner bounce back from his somewhat shaky first spring start with 3 perfect innings today, and the Reds had a decent amount of their regulars in there (minus Votto I believe). I may watch a bit of it later if I can with MLB.tv to check in on his velocity.

  20. http://hoopshype.com/2018/03/02/mario-hezonjas-improvement-will-make-for-interesting-free-agency/ I read the above article they said all Orlando can give is a one-year of 5.2M contract. So he is certainly gone next season.

  22. Outside of Harper's monster season (and I know what some will say - he actually did have that season), in 615 games, he's had 111 homers/322 RBI/,272 BA. If you think that Harper is going to mimic what he put up in 2015, this probably isn't a good deal. If you think that Harper is going to put up close to what he's done in his other 2,235 major league at-bats, you have yourself a very good deal.

  29. Ace/Ace is interesting, but you commit yourself to pounding bats and can’t take a falling ace regardless of the value. I didn’t start Mock IV Ace/Ace, but I think I had 2 of my first 3 as SP, and it’s hard IMO. It depends a lot on format obviously (Mock IV was 15-teams, and Tony earlier referenced trades vs no trades - build a strong pitching base and trade for what you need in the second half), but I think it locks you in more than I want to be locked in. In Mock IV I felt Quintana fell too far and took him as my third SP, but I kinda hated my offense when it was all

  30. Going ace-ace to start is interesting, but I'm not sure I'd be comfortable not getting my first bat until 36-37. There are some good upside bats there, but not a lot of safety or track record. Definitely an aggressive all-or-nothing strategy that can pretty much win you four pitching categories running away. Maybe sets you up for a mid-season trade of one of the aces.

  31. Id pass, tough giving up a 1st rounder and a true #1. If hed bite with one of the above mentioned Ps as the second piece, id probably do it.

  37. I wouldn't put him above those top 18 he listed. This is a make-or-break year in Philly for Franco, imho. The Phils are already contemplating trying Kingery at 3B, and that leads me to believe they're getting ready to cut bait if he doesn't show significant inprovement this year.

  39. 3B always seems to be a position I target late. This year will be no different as I will be looking to pair Franco or Castellanos with Senzel (for when he gets the call). I think Franco as a post hype prospect sleeper is a good value. Lots has been talked about his off-season adjustment to hit more low outside pitches which is where his struggles have been most abundant. He will be hitting in a sneaky good lineup cesar-odubel-santana-hoskins-franco...

  43. There were 16 3B last season with at least 20 HR/70 RBI/70 Runs. That's with Beltre and Donaldson not being part of that group because of injuries. Players with at least 20 HR/70 RBI/ 70 Runs C: 1 1B: 16 2B: 9 SS: 6 3B: 16 OF: 24 Players with at least 25 HR/ 80 RBI/ 80 Runs C: 0 1B: 10 2B: 4 SS: 2 3B: 8 OF: 13

  44. Second HR Today after his walk off yesterday. Are Yankees really considering starting Drury over him? Had a strong feeling about this guy and last time I felt this way about a player was Mookie Betts several years ago when it seemed like nobody talked about him and he was down in prospect rankings even though he had amazing Minors stats. Andujar seems to be getting better with every higher level which is a great sign of a star in the making.
