  1. I look at it almost the opposite. The whole reason zero RB was at such a frenzied peak last season, and the reason it didn't work well, is because everyone was doing it because they saw it work in 2016. Much like @ponza88 said, the value pick is generally where people are neglecting. For years and years everyone fought over RB's early in the draft with the thinking that if you don't get some of the top ones early, you'll be screwed. Then a handful of people realized that you could go WR-WR and get two WR1's, then throw in a handful of high upside RB's later, and buck the trend. It worked

  2. Obviously depends on league size, but I've been holding Suarez for over a month now since Tao pointed out that he may be more than a streamer. I have zero complaints, and he has been one of my most consistent pitchers in that span. I could see him being a streamer in 10 man league, but 12+ I'm riding this cat till the wheels fall off...

  4. Little of this post is correct. First, Dan Gilbert is a lot of things, but he paid his players and has the luxury tax bills and carry forward tax losses to prove it. "The Decision" was a disaster of his creation, not because, "oops, it's the world we live in". That's silly. Does anyone care Lebron filled out his rosters with cheap specialist shooters? This seems to be a new excuse for pyschofants. I don't think many care Ray Allen, Mike Miller or James Jones were his teammates. Wiggins was never going to be part of the team with Lebron. I

  9. 1. "The Decision" was a PR disaster. I think almost everyone understood the context. He didn't mass kill dogs or was classified as a category 5 hurricane. 2. Here's an article from 2014. It took 20 seconds to find. Lebron called Love to let him know he had signed on and Love could now do the same, (trade and extend). Obviously from context you can tell the deal were already discussed and none of this took Love by surprise. It wasn't, "Lebron called and asked if I wanted to come to Cleveland, I was stunned". It had all been discussed and Lebron simply needed to be sure all

  13. Personally, depends on a few situations, but I don’t consider anything “cute” about going WR/WR in the first two picks. It matters completely about who’s there and how you value individual players. Not in the 6th, but I also don’t find it lucky to find RB talent that can be your 1&2 later than round 2. There are plenty of backs priced 3rd, 4th, or later that I am completely fine using as my top two RBs. In the dream draft thread, I have my dream first four in my main league (10th of 12, snake) based on my early mocks as Odell, AjG, Howard, Collins. I would love to

  14. My bad. I had thought I mentioned that. Tatis would go to my minor league roster (I have an open spot). I wouldn't have to drop anyone since Tatis would immediately be put on the minors roster and Folty would take Rosario's spot on my active roster.

  17. Despite popular belief, Carolina's ground game was already more productive than the Saints' in 2017. CAR ranked 4th in the league for rushing yards per game, for a total of 2,102 on the year. The Saints weren't far behind, but they were behind. So considering Ingrams suspension, the addition of CJA, etc, it seems rather clear that CAR should continue to be more productive on the ground than NO. NO might be more efficient, but CAR wins in quantity, so Oline really isn't as much of a factor as people want to pretend. Obviously a better oline is always preferred, but the actual issue at hand

  24. Ok, I just looked at those, and the only stats where I saw Clay was "better" was IP, which was a function of having a two season head start on Carrasco, and W's (barely, and a function of being on strong Boston teams while Carrasco played on bad Indian teams. He's even trailing Carrasco in K's despite that two season advantage. He has forty more starts than Carrasco, but sure hasn't done anything with them. I started Clay when he pitched his no-hitter, so he has a special place in my heart. But better than Carrasco? Come on. Tell your commissioner that having MORE h

  25. I’d keep Olsen. They signed him to a 2 year extension so you got 2 more years. My guess is Graham goes only 2 years as well so I wouldn’t worry about who will stick around longest. That’s my opinion anyways. People are forgetting how consistent Olsen has been because of last years injury. They both carry risks as they are in the twighlight of their careers but I just trust Olsen more for consistency.

  32. Not that it often matters a ton but what has Bud Norris done in this game to haze anyway? Who the hell is Bud Norris to be pushing anyone? Push them to what? His mediocre career path? Congrats dude you blew as a starter and had a decent first half as a reliever after being terrible in same role last year. Not sure I would ever want a Bud Norris being a vocal “leader” on my team. Maybe they speaks volumes to the Cards first half record.

  37. For me it’s that he’s the perfect definition of a r/niceguys. His legacy will be that of bending assbackwards to appease one group of people while completely ******** over another group of people in the process and then he wonders why the second group doesn’t like him. He’s surrounded himself with dumbasses from his childhood who give him s--- advice. The Decision was a horrible decision and one that I think he was pushed into. He only likes to play with “his guys”. He has that AAU ball mindset that friends are more important than ball so he drags his buddies along with him wherever he go

  39. Not sure of the intended joke (or simply the smiley face because you’re excited about football), but this is the key question(s) you’ve posted. 2017: CMcC = 200 touches, 7 TDs Jonathan Stewart = 250 touches, 7 TDs (and we can throw in Cam rushing for 6 TDs) 2018... I’d suggest, CMcC and CJA will see roughly the same amount of carries, a 60/40 split favoring CJA, and of course CMcC dominating the receptions, CJA the goal-line and potentially garbage time. Entirely likely they end roughly at the same mark (5-10 TDs each). Thing is, we’re s

  41. It's the Browns we're talking about here, they're exactly the type of people with a long heritage of idiots that would screw this up. There's probably cave paintings somewhere showing a Neanderthal doing a facepalm about the stupid thing the Browns did, "Ugh, me no believe the Browns traded for Ogg, he can't hit broad side of a wooly mammoth." They're a New Patriots level dynasty in failure. When was the last time you can think of that you heard a news story and thought "well that was smart of the Cleveland Browns"?
