  1. Rankings are NOT the order I would necessarily take them--more the order of how I see their range of outcomes T1 Barkley--Jason Garrett is going to feed him till he pukes CMC--Joe Brady likes to throw to the backs but some regression is to be expected T1.5 Zeke--every year he is up here; on a one year basis he is closer to Barkley and CMC for me than the T2 guys but he doesn't have the usage upside since his team is actually good and has a lot of other talent T2 Mixon--ascending offense, QB who likes to use RBs in the passing game, young coach w

  3. The thing with gibson is, you don't know how or where he's gonna play. He's officially listed as a running back, and worked out as a running back. But what are they doing with him? Nobody can predict with any certainty. That's the risk with guys like him and Lynn bowden jr as well - they excelled in multiple positions without specializing in any one of them. The NFL, unlike college, doesn't really give players time to 'learn'. You're either good at something, or you aren't. Having said that, I wouldn't bet against Gibson. He's a great athlete and a big-time playmaker...he'll b

  4. Ok I can understand the covid thing. That could put a damper on everything but even then I’m not too worried. That’s Just me tho I don’t mind taking a stab on him late. But everything else ya said doesn’t worry me much at all. He was good in college really good. I mean he had a 44 touchdown 13 game season in college and played with a Majority of no ones. Besides Albert O I couldn’t tell you one player he played with at Missouri and I looked them up.. never heard of any of them. Joe burrow just had the greatest college football season for a qb ever and he passed for 60tds in 15 games. Lock

  5. Here's my stab in .5 PPR. Definitely drinking the kool-aid on a few guys (Sanders, Montgomery, Gurley) and are lower than consensus on others (Ekeler, DJ, Carson), but what's the fun/value of this if you're just sticking to ECR? Tier 1 1. Christian McCaffrey - Coming off of an incredible season, impossible to have anyone else in this spot. The addition of Teddy with his checkdown tendencies, Rhule/Brady's quick passing offense, and a poor defense, he may even catch more balls this year. Only downside is that I don't see him getting the 100% snap share of '18 and '19. 2.

  8. I had to go back and take a look at this earlier. Man, those were stressful times. Take a kid in the middle of college, have him start running a league for the first time (albeit with help), and then deal with all the drama that 2012 had to offer. I'd love to go back to the people that thought we'd never make it back then, especially considering we had revived this league "from the dirt", as someone pointed out back then. 😉

  9. Funny what things have come to after all these years. And there was drama because this new guy joins the league and is just killing time, talking in the forum about peoples picks so he can watch a preseason game before making his own pick. Then he falls asleep because the guys wife sent him to bed or something, wakes up the next day to make his very first pick in the league and selects the legend RYAN BROYLES LOL. Not to mention there were other WRs like Alshon Jeffery, Josh Gordon, and Michael Floyd available and Broyles was injured at the time too. He then gets kicked o

  10. This sums up the stupidity of the Rockies managements in a nutshell. No organization is so attached to aging vets past their prime than those people. No organization shoots itself in the foot more than them. No, not even Seattle who actually rescued a very promising Tom Murphy from Colorado who didn't want to play him over has been catchers. When Seattle looks smart compared to your organization there is something incredibly wrong with you.

  11. Kamara is such a pain in the a** to own in standard. After week 5 last season Kamara didn't have a single game with 15 carries. He didn't have a single game last year with 100 rushing yards either. Hell, he only had 4 games with over 100 scrimmage yards. It's hilarious how absurdly TD dependent he was and the problem with that is he doesn't even have a GL role secured. There's Murray and that bitch a** Hill to deal with. In PPR, he is still a nice pick because he gets a ton of dump offs but in standard I wouldn't want anything to do with Kamara at his ADP.

  13. To be honest I go back and forth with Kamara and Zeke.. today was just a Kamara day. I just have a feeling that Pollard is going to be mixed in more than people think and that Kamara has less tread on his tires than Zeke. His pass game floor is unreal, he's gotten 100 targets in all 3 years and I see his TD's doubling (at least) from the 6 he had last year. Just went back to your rankings post (great job too btw) to see your takes on Gurley and Rojo: Gurley: Agree on some of your points.. It is a pass-1st offense, so he will inherently have a smaller pie to work with, but man

  18. Guy is being criminally underrated going into 2020. Arians, Licht, and Brady have all praised him this offseason already. His only competition is a 3rd round rookie that had a 4th-5th round grade, and Dare, who is the epitome of a JAG. It's well documented that Arians eases rookies in, DJ had 35 total carries before taking over in week 12 due to injury in his rookie year in ARI, and I think this limited offseason exacerbates that even more. He absolutely jumps off the tape in my opinion. People that say he's a JAG are simply not watching. This run below is just about as good as i

  21. If they were going to sign him to be the feature back, he'd be on the team already. He'd probably lock down the passing down role because he's stout in pass pro and is still a productive receiver (quietly had 59 catches last year), but he's absolutely toast as a runner (3.6 YPC last year). I think he'd probably get something similar to the Dare role last year with a bit more volume in the run game. Rojo is an unquestionably better running back on the ground than him and would still get the brunt of the 1st and 2nd down work imo. He's a much better pass catcher than given credit for

  23. I know Elway has a lot of clout in this town from his playing days but I think the fan base is already a little miffed at his QB choices since Manning. Oswiller & Paxton Lynch in the draft. Flacco & Keenum in FA. Plus a year of Siemien. I doubt they give a 2nd round pick his whole rookie contract (4 years) to prove himself capable. This offense is set up to be very good with above average QB play. Average or below average (like a 20th ranked qb or worse) and I think they look for an upgrade next year. For the record, I do think Lock has potential to be in the qb 12-16 range this year

  24. Gotcha I missed the part you mentioned 2021 - my fault. Jones and Williams are both FAs in 2021, and if both go else where I agree Dillon is going to be a hot commodity. He'll have the backfield all to himself next year so a really nice dynasty target to stash for a season.
    2 points
  25. I have to agree. Teams make dumb picks all the time. Dillon isn't coming in and taking the job away from Aaron Jones. I can see a scenario where he takes Jamaal William's role but I don't see Dillon receiving enough volume or opportunity to be a meaningful fantasy contributor this year. If Dillon and Gibson switched places? It would be a different story.

  26. What a train wreck of a draft for the Pack. Neither of their first 2 picks are NFL starters, And do nothing for a 12-4 roster. a late first for a rookie qb flyer when you have a future HOFer who has given no indication of retiring? DOH Then they compound the problem by picking L Blount 2...with a stud young rb and solid backup already on the team? YIKES Dillon was a wild pick that early and it doesn’t change what he can and can’t do on the field. price paid is irrelevant

  27. I think that's a low ceiling because he's pretty much George Springer right now. His ceiling to me looks like prime JD Martinez, with about 5-10 more SBs too. I think we see continued development from Meadows. I think he drops his K% from 22% to something like 17% and we see a .300 40 masher who can take some walks too

  28. @predator_05 the most important part of the equation you're neglecting with Dillon is draft capital. Green Bay spent a 2nd round pick on him, therefore he will get every opportunity in 2021. The RB position is not so much about how pretty someone looks on tape, it's mainly about opportunity and volume which Dillon will receive.

  30. This is from a write-up I did last year: This is the value of RBs in 2018 (all year) plotted against their ADP (early Sept I believe). So to the left you see the top draftees, who generally score a lot of points (yay); to the right you see up to pick 150-180, where obviously players score less, similar to your chart. The dotted line is the log trend line through RBs, but this holds (in PPR) for both RB and WR. However, you can see that the value of RBs is much more volatile: - in early picks (top 5) RBs get more points, but they can also fail completely - between pick

  31. It's unreal that the organization simply cannot stop signing aging, declining veterans when there are viable alternatives to try first. They have Blackmon, Dahl, Hilliard, Hampson, McMahon, Murphy, Tapia and Rodgers that represent 8 viable options to fill 6 slots (LF, CF, RF, 2B, 1B, DH) on any given day. Obviously there was zero competition for Kemp's services or he wouldn't have signed a minor league deal - why not simply give the other viable options a chance and then possibly take a look at Kemp down the road if the options aren't working? Not only does it provide yet another lineup cloggi

  32. I can't say who's the best of the 3, but i definitely know who's the worst, and that's AJ Dillon. He's a slow, straight-line plodder. I'm guesing the Packers took him just to piss off Aaron Rodgers and show him 'his place'. Gibson scored 14 TDs on 77 plays in college; he's either a fluke or an incredible, under-the-radar talent. Interesting prospect.

  33. He won't be on any of my teams. A guy who only played in 5 games over 2 years and never topped 10 carries is just not worth the risk. I'd rather take a flyer on Gibson at the end of the draft.

  34. I thought with the new schedule the AL would only face AL East teams as well as NL East teams? MLB has submitted a 60-game regular-season schedule for review by the Players Association. In order to mitigate travel, the schedule would include 10 games for each team against its four divisional opponents, along with 20 games against the opposite league’s corresponding geographical division (for example, the AL East will play the NL East, and so on). https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-announces-2020-regular-season

  38. In a 2 month season where pretty much anything could happen, Carson Kelly has a good chance to be a top 5 catcher. As Steven said above, he's actually kind of a decent hitter. Doesn't K a lot, makes solid contact, puts the ball in the air, takes BBs. In the first half of last year he had an OPS of .890

  40. Like those posts above me I'd keep the 5 you are keeping. Sounds like you can easily pick up Kopech in your re-draft and I like him a lot but the five you chose are the right ones. And other teams will be dropping players just as good if not better than Kopech. You aren't the only one forced to drop those players. Look at the other teams and see who they will probably keep and have to drop. Just don't look at your team alone. Take in the big picture.

  42. I agree with you that I probably wouldn't take any of those guys above LF, though I am mostly avoiding this range of RBs. But 325 touches? I just don't see it man, at all. 1) There's no way he's going be a 3rd down back with CT there under Gruden and how bad of a pass-catcher he is. 2) This team is not going to be winning a lot or leading on the scoreboard. He's going to lose significant carries because of that. 3) You acknowledged this, but the injury history is still a problem. Add that to the first two and it's just super worrisome for me that he busts out hard. I'd rather have most other R

  43. Agreed. Signing late and coming into a potentially shortened training camp and preseason at the hardest position in the game isn't ideal for a week 1 starter. And I'd say the same thing regardless of what QB was signed. It's a great signing for both parties though overall. The Patriots have absolutely nothing to lose bringing Cam on for a year at that price. There's backups, bad backups, that may make more than Cam this year. And for Cam, if his body isn't broken down and if he can still be a dual threat this is a great opportunity to take over a dream spot QB'ing the most successful tea

I move them below everyone on the Fort4242 ranked list of 25 - in addition I would slot Akers, Dobbins, Swift, K Hunt, D Williams, D Montgomery, Guice (if healthy of course) and the lead Tampa back (whether R Jones or Vaughn) ahead of them both as well.
