  1. there was a fantasy guru mastermind that thought hoarding QBs as trade bait was going to be a league winning strategy ... then gave away Dak for nothing, owned Mayfield/Kyler/Lamar Jackson and barely played Jackson ... it was, interesting.

  7. This may be completely off-base, but I can't help but shake the thought that this situation to Derrick Henry's rookie year in TEN. Both athletic freaks coming off historic college careers poised to step into a early-down role upon their arrival in the league. Both guys ahead of them written off as JAGs (Murray coming off his horrendous season in Philly) + both teams with strong lines (PFF rated TEN as the #1 line that season https://www.pff.com/news/pro-ranking-all-32-nfl-offensive-lines-this-season). They differ in that it was Murray's 1st year with the team vs Mack being the incumbent, but I

  9. I'm somewhat amazed the previous Coronavirus thread got shut-down in this forum in light of the major impact it has on whether or not we have an NFL season this year. It's been freely discussed on all other Fantasy Forum sites I frequent without Mods locking the discussion. Anyway FYI link below. Right now things aren't looking good. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2020/07/16/72-nfl-players-test-positive-covid-19-nflpa-association/5452557002/

  14. I think it depends in large part on how much you value winning this year. If you were likely to compete this year anyway, I might pass even IF this year was identical. If there's any reduction to your prize pool ect, I think I'd definitely think twice about trading so much future for so much right now. Soto is not THAT far behind Yelich and far younger (Fantasypros compiled dynasty ranks has Soto AHEAD of Yelich). Soler has had one good season. Chapman is getting older and has been suspended before. Voit and Castellanos are ok, but not world beaters. Kopech has opted out, so

  17. I use my eyes. Not charts. Those charts aren't gonna tell you how Henry was sprinkled in as a change of pace back or how he was brought in on obvious rushing plays and no passing plays so the plays were telegraphed to the defense or how he alternated series or anything like that. That's precisely why graphs can and are misleading. They lack a huge amount of context.

  18. Bogaerts is a really nice comparison I think, at least numbers development wise. Obviously Xander doesn't have the speed Robles has, but he was a very good player that seemed to get overlooked because he didn't hit superstar status as fast as expected. Can absolutely see Robles flying under the radar (or even getting labeled as a bust) for a few years before taking off.

  19. I continue to be hopeful that MLB is gonna have a season and playoffs. They seem to be figuring things out. There were links to work out and they seem to be getting worked out. To be honest, this process is prob necessary for a 2021 season. People kept saying “just pack it up until next year.” But the virus isn’t necessarily gone by then. We might be living in similar conditions next spring to what we have now. So getting some of the groundwork laid now is valuable for baseball and any sport or public gathering. Letting organizations adapt and adjust to new protocols, and getting players an

  21. I still don't understand how the IR spot can be abused. You can't just add an RB handcuff to the IR spot without that player having a designation. Common practice seems to be drop your kicker, add player you want, drop player once they don't do anything, pick up kicker. Has nothing to do with the IR spot. And again, we can all use this tactic if we want. I don't see it as an advantage for anyone.

  26. I'd probably hold off. There is so much volatility with this season that it's difficult to make a shift to invest heavily into right now now, and make your team better for the current season. I need to see something again from Soler. I'd feel better about Castellenos if he was still with the Cubs, but he's not. He was just some guy with the Tigers. Thanks for the help on mine.

  27. Nope, totally get it ... i try to build a team that essentially compliments itself (pairing a "consistent" WR like Crowder with a more boom/bust WR for example) ... Basically I let the first 3 rounds unfold as they will and then adjust accordingly. Was very pleased/surprised to get David Montgomery as the 23rd RB off the board late 3rd. Did not expect to start off with 2 RBs, but I love Hill/Drake/Montgomery so here we are. I feel like we both take a "comprehensive" approach to building a team, rather than just plugging in roster spots. "Points are points" has always been my approa

  28. group of prospects that are a year closer to playing. i wouldnt invest in this season in dynasty. crap shoot 60 game luckfest. and those ageing vets gain another year on them. i like that idea above wander bohm kop 4 yelich. huge win for you. if he wants wander hes got to pay up

  29. Given this year's drop, I'd want something like Yelich + Chap + Soler for the three prospects. Take Soto off your side entirely. IMO you're giving up the TWO best dynasty pieces here.

Please for the love of all that is holy, don't keep players that aren't playing this year and have been garbage the last two years(look at Rush and his Desmond nonsense). help me?https://forums.rotoworld.com/topic/817884-soto-for-yelich-rush-gonna-like-this-whir/

  33. Shows how de-valued the RB position has become since that time. 9 years of watching RBs including CJ2k not living up to their big contracts has shrunk the payday for RBs overall. Ultimately anyone that knows Henry would not be surprised by this move. Henry is the ultimate team player, he is not selfish and it is not suprising at all to see him take a deal that might help the team more than it helps himself. He is a complete team player in every sense of the word.

  34. Whitley had some serious issues and got into the pitching coach’s doghouse in spring training. If I recall correctly he’s got serious attitude issues. Came in overweight, late and decided to stop working in the offseason after having a great fall league. At that point it was looking like he was anything but a good bet to be pitching in the majors anytime soon. Thankfully due to the expanded rosters it’s a guarantee he’ll at least be close to the team on the taxi squad but I don’t see them rushing him to the major league rotation until he can prove he’s ready again.

  41. Moss doesn't even have to be better than Singletary (though I think there's a good chance he is), I'm just predicting that Moss will be far more productive than Gore was last year (You don't have be faster than the bear, you have to be faster than the guy next to you) and will force Singletary off the field more than Gore did. Now, this abbreviated offseason may allow Singletary to dominate touches/snaps early, but I am confident that it will be a full-blown RBBC as the season wares on with a chance that Moss is the lead back by season's end. ^^^^ heard about Darrell hender

As you get closer to being a new dad, reality makes you question things you didn't before. I think we just saw him grow up a little on social media.
