  3. this guy is a rapidly developing fantasy asset...and probably still obtainable. K rate way down, power speed threat...say no more... Own in all leagues.

  4. Lots of hyperbole here. Cole Beasley had the #1 contested-catch rate in the NFL in 2020 and caught 76.6% of his targets. Is it really such a negative to say DJ is capped at that level of production? In only his second season, DJ caught more passes and scored more touchdowns than Cole Beasley has in any year of his 9-year career. Moreover, DJ was drafted #66 overall in 2019. Claypool was drafted #49 overall in 2020. Why are you attributing Claypool's upside to his draft position but not acknowledging DJ's? In their short NFL careers, DJ has a higher catch rate, contested-catch rate, and br

  9. Just keep buying shares wherever you can. Sometimes I think guys on here are smarter, or know as much as some of the 'pundits' and their lists. Personally, given how close he is to the majors now, he would absolutely be in the Top 50 for me. There was never a question really about the hit tool and his k/bb rate has always been strong, the question was the power. Like I said in the initial post, some paused at the power output at AA not knowing if it was more a manufacture of his home park (as it was new to the league and no real sense of how it played for power). When you look at the home

  11. The oline was awful last year but I believe it may have more to do with the play call than just outright poor performance. They became basic and predictable and if you do that in the NFL you gonna get burned so an average oline looked awful. Ran the most shotgun snaps in the NFL. When they ran the ball is was almost exclusively under center so when Big Ben was under center defense knew the run was coming. And when he was in shotgun they knew the pass was coming They had the least play action attempts in the league so there was nothing to make linebackers hesitate making it even

  12. Claypool was visibly frustrated at times last year because he would consistently burn his man deep down the field but Roethlisberger would have already dumped a glorified handoff to Diontae or Juju. Now part of that may have been the O-line not giving Ben time to let the play develop, and part of that may be Ben not trusting his arm strength to throw the deep ball - both problems that could remain in 2021. To his credit I think Roethlisberger identified Claypool early last preseason as a potential difference-maker, and the playcalling at times seemed to be designed to get the ball to Ch

  13. Lol I kno buddy I’m being just a smidge facetious when I say “I can win a Super Bowl will 11 pac man Jones’s” I’m just saying I like guys when the got a lot of dog in em… but if you wanted a prime example of a guy who was successful acting like an a**hole it’s Charles Haley 5 time super bowl champ with 2 teams I think he won NFC dpoy 2x. But he was bipolar and undiagnosed and so he was a complete lunatic and everyone… joe Montana, Michael Irvin, everyone was afraid to say anything about it.

  14. Does this look like a guy that cares about Muncy? You could be right, though. But in my experience usually when you try to avoid a throw last second you would hold on a little longer as opposed to throwing it 20 f***in feet above your target. If that was actually the case he let go a couple seconds too early.

  15. Having a great July but I would like to see a better approach and more walks. .304/.340/.500 in July so far, seems like he has adjusted to AA. His L/R splits are good too. His GB/FB ratio isn't great but is only a little worse in AA than when he had a .532 slugging in A+. Probably not going to hit for more than 15-20 HR but decent BA with a little pop, plus speed, and plus defense and that's an every day player.

  17. Exactly. You gotta find the “next man up” if you want to win your league or else you just take the next guy on yahoo best player left available rankings. last year was pretty bad for him and we all know it absolutely could get worse but lets say last year was his floor. 1100 total yards with 36 receptions in 13 games is pretty good Johnathon Taylor only had 1400 yards and 36recs in 15 games and people think he is about to be the next big thing this year but he was out produced by CEH all year until he had a 250 yard season finale.

  21. Wander was down 0-2 to Aroldis Chapman and worked a walk in the 9th with two outs. He also fouled off a 103 mph pitch down the heart of the plate. Very impressive stuff from a 20 yr old that people who only look at box scores would never catch. This kid has the skills and intangibles. The experience just needs to catch up but watch out when it does. I have a sneaking suspicion his stock will skyrocket after he does some things in the playoffs that make people take notice. Get him now in dynasty while there’s still a chance

  24. Brent Rooker, he's been hitting well for a few days with the Twins, he has more appeal in OBP leagues as a three true outcomes guy. He's got a chance to go on a Patrick Wisdom, Bobby Bradley type spurt of HRS, but could also hurt your BA so be aware. Also double check that teammate Mitch Garver isn't still out there. He's returned and hit a bunch of bombs in between his paternity leave, and looks fully healed. Garver and Bench Heat have turned an unfortunate shot to the family jewels into some real life Jewel money with their impressive home run displays.

  29. Sewald got the save last night against the Astros. Steckenrider had a save on Sunday (when Graveman & Sewald didn't pitch), and blew the lead on Saturday in the 7th (Sewald & Graveman pitched the 8th & 9th). If you're speculating, I dunno how you aren't going Sewald right now if he's still available.

  30. Good, and expected, and while I agree he needs to show something this week to avoid the platoon, lets not tie his value solely to this week. Once the trade deadline dominoes fall, we'll have a better idea, but don't cut him if he goes 0-4 tonight, sits tomorrow and doesn't hit again the following game (not you, just in general). He's a flier at this point so a little patience is necessary.

  31. Doubt it. They’re trying to thread the needle between being both buyers and sellers. They’ll look to trade players like Graveman with expiring contracts while picking up assets that can help this year but are also controllable for future years.

  34. Kickers tend to be a dart throw and seemingly dependent on luck. Buuuuut…. Tucker finish: 2020 - 7th 2019 - 3rd 2018 - 2nd 2017 - 4th 2016 - 2nd Interestingly enough he’s never finished 1st despite always being ranked 1st but he’s a damn good bet to be a top 3 kicker which in a position that’s a dart throw that’s impressive. Last year was probably more of an outlier than anything and BAL underperformed in general on offense I think. Tucker is just so good and it’s absurd how consistent he is from 50+ that he’s always going to be in contention to lead kickers

  35. I see a slightly faster Rex Burkhead. Not going to jumpcut his way out of a bad spot, but has enough juice to make a guy miss in the open, and power to break a tackle. Not exciting, but a team can do worse. Even if Henderson were to get hurt, this guy would still split snaps. Not a real FF asset unless (more) injuries.

  36. Quite decent, was 14% this year in AAA and always at least 10%, and he hit for decent averages too on the strength of pretty good BABIP numbers. I don't know much about him other than what I glanced at the other day; but he was a name I saw traded for in a few expert leagues that I track in the very early going, so I figured someone saw a decent path to value. That's obviously there now that Cruz is gone and others may follow.

  38. Giants were 26th in the NFL in passing attempts at 517. I can't see that going up with a healthy barkley, who the Giants will try to get the ball to 20-25 times per game. Plus Daniel Jones was terrible last year. Top 20 wrs get around 120 targets. Barkley/RBs- 90 Enrgram/TEs- 80 Shephard- 90 Slayton- 60 Toney- 40 Random Wrs- 60 That's around 420 for all these guys. That leaves about 100 targets for Golladay best case scenario. He just isn't going to get the volume and this is NOT a prolific passing offense with a qb who is probably bottom 5 in the NFL.

  44. I think lock has gotten a bad rap. Only got to play 4 games as a rookie. Then gets a new OC his 2nd season that he doesn’t ever get to meet and talk scheme with until august due to covid. Then week 2 he gets hurt, his best WR gets hurt, then plays thru injury while still trying to grasp the offense while his best weapon is a rookie WR who is also learning the offense. I’m not saying he played good but he hasn’t had a fair shake yet. Even Peyton Manning said as much.

  45. yanks should stay far away from story. let torres figure it out until Peraza is ready. their best bet is to stay put, hope judge and voit come back andtorres or stanton or DJL start hitting. then get severino back for a wild card stretch. hope its the severino of 2018 and first half 2019 and hope him and cole can carry you. i dont expect the yanks to trade anyone or land anyone and its probably the smart play.

  46. Don't all jump on me for this one but I'm going to throw out Jorge Soler's name. I know all of his stats pretty much suck but he has 4 bombs in his last 5 games including 2 yesterday and he is back in the 4 hole. He is streaky as hell but maybe this is the start of a heater!

  47. I didn't say it was impossible; I just posted the list of RB's with the injury. For what it's worth, I tore my Achilles in early 2019. I'm not anywhere close to an NFL RB, nor do I have access to the training/recovery methods that an NFL player would have. With that said, I can tell you that the injury truly does suck...and I won't be drafting Akers in 2022. I do wish him the best and hope he can overcome the odds.
