Gotta run, but as a Heat fan, I just wanted to say congratulations to the Spurs and their fans. The way they dismantled the Heat in 5 games was unreal. I think someone already said it best, that the ball movement, the high IQ ball that the Spurs demonstrated in these series can never be replicated by any team, from all 5 players on the floor, buying into the team concept to this degree... it's just unreal. Hats off the Spurs. On another point, I think someone said that the Heat would've never made it past the West... well, yea, they would've lost to the Spurs. But even the way the Heat -

Actually, it's the Lebron haters who always seem to have their "panties in a bunch", whining and complaining about Lebron, finding every angle to diminish his achievements and beating the dead horse on all his failures. Meanwhile, the guy is a two-time champ, a class act on and off the floor, and he's never gotten into any trouble. He's not a total class act. The Decision wasn't a class act, nicknaming himself "The Chosen One" and "King James" wasn't classy either. That's pretty much narcissism. Overall he's been a great role model but he has his flaws of making everything about himself t -

All that matters is 2 rings. 2 Finals MVPs. You win some, you lose some. it's hard to win in this league. He'll have more chances in the future. Losses count too. Gotta take the good with the bad. There's a reason why Jordan is widely considered the best ever. 6 for 6, with the highest career regular season and post season scoring averages. That's why Jordan will never be eclipsed. Lebron will never be MJ, but Lebron critics will keep beating this dead horse... -

As a Heat fan, you simply tip your hat to this Spurs team. It's their year. They deserve it. After the game, Haslem was quoted saying, "we played as hard as we can, but we just ran into a better team", and that's the honest truth. For the Heat, this core group had a great run: 4 straight Finals appearances, and 2 rings is nothing to sneeze at. They'll re-tool and will be fine. -

Wade is one, if not the main main culprit, in Miami's defensive breakdowns. The Heat defensive system is very effective IF everyone is connected and committed. Wade is simply not there, both physically and mentally. He's clearly a step slow, but he's also making mental mistakes on defense. -

I agree with this. The Heat cannot play their usual chaotic defense because they don't have the guys to do it anymore. Battier, Wade, Haslem are simply too slow, too old for that style of defense. One of the Heat's great advantages HAD been closeout speed, ability to react. The pace, reactions aren't there anymore. Why not go traditional, go big and slow the pace down. Good points, Patrick. -

The Heat still had to beat the proverbial "best of the West" in a 7-game series for 2 straight years, and won back-to-back rings. That's the only "history" that matters. -

Ray Allen's 3 was DESTINED to go in. The Heat were destined to win that series, and they did. There's no "What ifs". -

They're just gonna re-tool around Lebron, Bosh and Wade. The buzz is that those three will all opt out and restructure their salaries to open up cap space. Wade has 3 more effective years left, and I'd reckon they will give more touches to Bosh. As long as Lebron continues to be hungry and in his prime, the championship window remains very wide open for this core group. -

Bro, your Spurs played beautiful basketball in Miami. It's not just the beautiful offense. They took the Heat out of everything they do on the other end. It was a thorough dismantling. As a Heat fan, there is no shame in losing to the Spurs. -

As a Heat fan, I'm re-thinking the whole "Melo to the Heat" scenario.. it sounds exciting, but it might not work at all. WHO'S GOING TO DEFEND?!? The Heat need younger clone replacements of Haslem and Battier...Guys that can defend and hit the jumper or long ball. Get after a really young, solid guard/forward that can give Wade relief, and go after those "role player" types that can do the dirty work. -

I'm not even a Heat fan I just want a 7 games series Well, if the Heat miraculously win Game 5, maybe...NOT. I am sorry bro. Maybe next year. Yep. Kinda excited for the offseason. The Heat did a solid job with this core roster - back-to-back rings, 4 trips to the Finals. This year, the wheels began to fall off.. their old reliables (Miller, Haslem, Battier) were either shipped or too old to perform. Wade with the rehab year. A tough year, for sure, but they did well. They've maxed out this roster, and now its time to start over, get younger legs to play their brand of defense -

1997-98 Bulls/Jazz? Exactly. Jordan didn't know what failure was like in the NBA Finals. Looks like LeBron is about to taste it for the 3rd time, 2 coming when he had all the help in the world. Well, Lebron's got several more years to make his legacy. Duncan didn't win everything, but he's persevered, and will finish as one of the best to ever do it. That's really all you can ever ask for.
