  1. Sherten Apostel is getting called up after Andrus was moved to the IL.
  2. After being sent to the alternate site a day or two ago... Aquino was called back up today and is starting in LF batting 6th. Happy to see him get more playing time. https://twitter.com/Reds/status/1300525834076389376?s=20 https://twitter.com/ctrent/status/1300529317701615618?s=20
  3. 6 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 6 K. 51 out of 75 pitches were strikes. Not bad for his first start at 21 years old. Pretty excited, but I hope he doesn’t get sent down
  4. Excited to see his stuff. Anyone have any concerns, thoughts about his smallish build (5’9”, 160lbs)?
  5. Deivi Garcia to start one of the Yankees’ doubleheaders tomorrow.
  6. This has not been confirmed but rumor is Senzel tested positive for COVID. @hockeyfan77 mentioned this a few comments up. I don't think the Reds released any info on who the player was (someone correct me if I'm wrong). But with the timing of Senzel going on the IL and the positive Reds player, it's difficult to think it wasn't Senzel...
  7. Brandon Lowe hit his 8th hr of the year. Hit the ball 404 ft for an out in his previous at bat. This time 424 ft was good enough
  8. Any thoughts after he went 1 for 4 with a homer in his first at bat and two strikeouts? Difficult to not get hyped but will Smith block him after his IL stint?
  9. Keibert Ruiz home run in his first at bat at 22 years old
  10. Very excited about Lowe. Career stats: 145 games, 555 plate appearances, 29 HR, 75 R, 95 RBI, 7 SB .268/.341/.525, 132 wRC+, 4.7 WAR
  11. Pretty hyped about Lewis as well. Walk rate is very encouraging. One thing to keep an eye on is his launch angle and GB/FB rate. Last year his LA was 10.4; this year it's 5.4. Last year his GB/FB was 1.47; this year it's 1.67. For how much power he has, it'd be nice to see him get the ball in the air more often. And I know this is a small sample...just something to track as his career progresses
  12. Astros are second in wRC+ this year. I wish they were worse but it is what it is.
  13. Update - leading off for the opener. Be nice to see him drop a spot or two but we'll see.
  14. Batting cleanup in the first game per Baseball Press. Mariners are all in on him; we'll see what happens with his plate discipline.
  15. Officially batting third per Baseball Press. Nice
