  5. Sonny Gray (shoulder) will make a minor league rehab start Thursday with Triple-A Louisville. Gray went down with a right groin strain two weeks ago, but he's ready to return to game action. If all goes well, he could rejoin the Reds' rotation this weekend against the Braves. Shoulder? Groin? Why not both?
  6. It's a rare baseball injury and I couldn't find a comp for recovery. It's more like Tommy John surgery where the tendon is reattached or repaired. I looked into weightlifters tearing their pectoral tendon during bench press and found limited results on their success after surgery. Rather take my chances with that than labral injury regardless.
