Hasn’t played a single minute this season but has gotten 93 pages of comment..... lol

It's not too surprising for Gordon, who's the all time leader in Rotoworld forum player pages. He nearly doubles the page count  of the second place Christine Michael (unofficially).

On another note a few pages back someone mentioned the over/under on receptions and yards for him tomorrow but I can't find any sites that are taking those bets. Anyone know?

  2. I need some helping sifting through this pile of uninspired choices for my FLEX position in a must-win scenario.Which 1 or 2 guys look the best in a PPR out of the following:

    Corey Coleman @ LAC

    Derrick Henry vs Houston

    Mike Davis vs Philly

    Austin Ekeler vs Cleveland

    Corrdarelle Patterson vs NY Giants

    Ricky Seals-Jones vs LAR

    Bruce Ellington @ Tenn

    Dede Westbrook vs Indy

Thanks, will gladly help in return.

Yes, you should have studied harder in school and gone to medical school.

We still don't have any idea what is really going on behind the scenes with DJ.  Arians and the front office are realistic enough to know that the Cards will not be making the playoffs, which means there is no reason to bring DJ back this year.  Do you actually believe that NFL coaches tell the truth about injuries to the press, unless they have no choice?   If they were 6-4, not 4-6, would Johnson have  been "coming along slowly" or "making some progress" according to Arians?

Plus, did you miss the part that he wasn't making the "EXPECTED progress".   For arguments sake, let's pretend that the head coach was actually telling the truth about an injury for once. He is saying that the team physicians expected him to progress more quickly, based upon their experience with other players who suffered similar injuries.  So you were still talking out of your arse, as you were talking in generalities about the anticipated recovery from his injuries.  Be honest, and be careful because God is watching, have you ever personally treated a patient with the same injury that DJ suffered?

You've returned here like a preening peacock because you feel like you've been vindicated.  Go nuts, if that makes you feel better, but the reality is that the only clarity that we have now is that we can cut him from our fantasy teams and move on to the next long shot....Rodgers in my case.  I'm personally relieved that I don't have to use a roster spot on him anymore, just to keep him away from an opponent.

Happy Thanksgiving, doc! Your patients must really love your bedside manner!

Well, @meh2 tried to give his professional opinion as a PT to all of you biased in-denial David Johnson owners, and you all attacked him for it, making a**hole comments. There was nothing wrong with his original post.

I'm sure he wouldn't have felt the need to revisit the discussion if you guys didn't act like huge Richards in the first place with your belittling responses.

Yes, this. I've found these forums to be a very valuable source of information for several years and every now and then I try to contribute something in return. It usually is something injury-related as I've been a PT in orthopedics for over 15 years. But after this, I will just keep my opinions to myself.

As a physical therapist I have a hard time believing he comes back this year and makes a significant impact in fantasy leagues. Given how long he was casted, he is going to have to spend several weeks just working on range of motion and strengthening exercises. After that he's still looking at several weeks to get in game shape. The team doctors will need to be very confident that his arm can take a hit and he can protect himself when falling. My prediction is they either hold him out all season or he returns week 16 or so with a snap count.

As a physician and son of a hand surgeon, I'd like to kindly request that you stop writing out of your arse.  We're talking about a 25-year-old, 225 pound beast, not a soccer mom with little baseline muscle mass who slips on some ice.   The facilities, staff and therapies available to NFL players far exceeds what is available to the general public.  NFL players have played with a cast after the same injury in the past, while others have returned as soon as three weeks after cast removal.  Certain individuals simply heal faster and recover more quickly than others, we don't know why.

The reality is what Johnson stated in the latest MMQB article....until the cast comes of and they assess the degree of atrophy and his range of motion, not even his personal surgeons know what the timeframe will be.   I believe that the Cards have been intentionally pessimistic, in order to protect DJ.

As for getting into game shape, your timetable is a bit absurd, if "several" means anything more than 3.  The player himself admitted that he team has had to pull back the reins on his workouts.  His timeframe for "game shape" should be significantly less than a player with a lower body injury.

Ultimately, in my opinion, he will physically be ready for week 14 but they still may not let him play.  I'm remain hopeful while accepting the possibility that stashing him won't work out.  We should have more clarity after Monday, or certainly within the next 2 weeks.  I can wait.

PS.  If you are that pessimistic about his return, you must not own him, which begs the question - why are you posting in this thread?

    Are you the team doctor?

I find it extremely hard to believe that David Johnson spent the entire offseason training, shredding himself, sacrificing everything he could, so that he could go down in Week 1. He is hell bent to return to the field, and he will when gets the chance.

I'm convinced he's playing on Thanksgiving weekend or the weekend after. He's an extremely hard worker.

No he’s a physical therapist who works with people 3 or more times older than DJ. He knows how NFL players rehab, mainly from the knowledge acquired thanks to his neighbor’s great grandfather.

    Anything to say now?

  8. What a devastatingly bad draft pick he's been. I thought I had the steal of the draft getting him at 20th overall in a 10 team ppr. He's been more harmful to my team than drafting David Johnson #1 overall since I was at least able to bench Johnson and pick up replacement value off the waiver wire. Ajayi has produced at a below replacement level in 5 out of 7 weeks thus far.

  9. I agree with everything Tony and Embargo wrote. So much of fantasy baseball comes down to effort and preparation. There is some variance involved due to injuries and under performance but a savvy, dedicated owner can usually overcome it. I'm very involved with several baseball and football leagues every year but I enjoy baseball much more due to the amount of control I have over the outcomes. I also make a lot more off baseball each year so there's that too!

Henry is a top 4 RB now that DJ is on IR.

Last weekend waa the beginning of tge end for Murray.

Its over, Murray in his prime last year wasnt better than Henry, he just got all the work

Coaches are reluctant to make changes but job security and W's will force their hand.

You will never see Henrys bruising effect on a defense till he gets 20+ carries a game.

He got 92 on 14? Give him 22 carries and he will likely give you 150 and 2 TDs.

He catches too so 5 for 50 isnt out of the question.

Cant wait till they stable Murray and let the thoroughbread henry open it up.

    Context for clarity.

This was when murray couldnt stay on the field due to injury and everyone thought henry was going to be the starter. You twist words out of context to try and feed your narrative, doesnt work on me though.

Wait, so just to be clear two days ago he wasn't good enough for you to start over M Ingram, M Lynch, and Alex freaking Collins, and now he's a top 4 running back? Got it. Continue fighting the good fight!

Wtf is going on here lol. It's like RMT cool stories and people piling on Cleats for being excited for his player.

There's nothing wrong with coming on here to tout a player. In fact that's exactly why this is my favorite resource for fantasy baseball and football. What's wrong is how he does it. He's made it his full time job coming in here on a daily basis and regurgitating the same things over and over. It becomes hard to ignore and interferes with productive discussions. It's why so many people are coming in taking shots at him.

Ive discussed that ad nauseam but i will do it again just for you.

The Titans coaches chose to give Murray more touches than Henry in those games, which they lost in glorious fashion.

When Henry gets double digit carries the offense is much better, titans also still basically refuse to incorporate henry into the passing game.  1 catch last night for 14 yards, when he could get that just about every time.

Henry is almost never going to make much happen on 6 carries. That is on the Titans, not on King Henry.

Do you just choose to ignore that D. Henry was the #2 overall RB for week 6?

Comfortably inside the top 4 that i predicted and while splitting reps with Demarco.

This seems like pretty poor reasoning to simply equate Henry's number of carries to whether or not the Titans win. Isn't it more likely that they are simply giving him more carries when the game script dictates that they need to run the ball more and kill the clock? Couldn't it be possible that Henry's production will be dependent on whether or not the Titans have a lead and need to run the ball? The Titans seem to prefer Murray in close games or games when they're trailing which seems to indicate they view him as a more complete running back. I have 1 share of Henry and 0 shares of Murray so I'm rooting for him but he's just not trust worthy until Murray misses time. If you decide to start him in a game with Murray active you better hope the Titans have a positive game script. The 86 pages of discussion continues to be the most ridiculous thing on this forum

Looked like a classic broken collarbone/Romo injury.

While it could be a broken collarbone there is also a pretty good chance it's an AC joint sprain/ separated shoulder. I'm sure he's getting X-rays at this moment and we should get word in the next 15 minutes. Rodgers owners should be rooting for a mild AJ joint sprain though how he was holding his arm leads me to believe it was a more significant sprain or broken like you mentioned.

I have seen a lot of ridiculous threads across these forums, filled with a lot of ridiculous posts by people with extreme attachments to players based on their own personal hopes and dreams....But this one is in a class of it's own. Rotoworld Hall of Fame worthy.

He's a cuff. And a great cuff. But that's what he is when there's someone like Murray in front of him. And Murray will continue to be in front of him. Because that's how the NFL works. Hell that's how all professional sports work. The proven Vet is first in until he shows he can't get it done. Has Murray been great, absolutely not, but neither has Henry.

Titans are a mess offensively and that probably won't improve that much. But if you're depending on Henry for your season then you messed up dearly in your draft. He was never a RB1 or even a RB2, he was an upside cuff with the possibility. That's it.

100% agreed. There is a lot of good information that many insightful posters share in this community, then there's the Derrick Henry thread. Week after week it's always at the top of the forums and is littered with post after post from one particular poster exclaiming how this is the greatest running back in the history of pro football. Please let this thread die until there is a Murray injury.

you play him in wr3 or flex in ppr every week. not sure where the hate is coming from. his floor is consistent when hes playing

I don't see any hate in here. I see a lot of realists that understand missed time is inevitable with this guy and there's a pretty good chance that he gets knocked out of a game early in the first quarter leaving you with a goose egg or pretty close to it.
