  1. SouthernStuds got back to me, so Too Bad is OTC

Yeah I'm trying to login to the forum. Forgot my password! I did pick Gurley and emailed TooBad he was up from yahoo. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hah, turns out my rotoworld messages for a trade would have gone unanswered even if I figured out the right person to send them too. lol

  3. I'm in! :)

Do I have like 20 picks in this years draft from everything the owner traded away previously? lol. If I follow the teams history right they traded away or cut:

    Andrew Luck QB Colts
    Ben Roethlisberger QB PIT
    Derek Carr QB
    AJ Green WR Bengals
    CJ Spiller RB NO
    Eddie Lacy RB GB

Maybe for all those tight ends I have? Ahh well, I do like rebuilds!

  4. Free agent C.J. Spiller could be a fit with the Eagles now that LeSean McCoy has been traded.

The Eagles are going to have plenty of running back options in free agency, but Spiller might be the best fit. Spiller split time with Fred Jackson in Buffalo, so he doesn't have the mileage or injury risk attached to other players like DeMarco Murray and Frank Gore. The Eagles probably wouldn't have to break the bank to get him either. Spiller and Mark Ingram appear to be the early favorites to replace McCoy in Philadelphia.

lol they must have paid someone on Amazon's mechanical turk to write that.

  5. Tannenbaum didn't stand out as a man deserving of a second chance to oversee someone's entire football operation, but the Dolphins rarely make sound decisions. Tannenbaum was an abject disaster his final years in the Big Apple, though did have the good sense to hire Rex Ryan, and oversaw a roster that made back-to-back AFC Championship Games.

He's probably due another shot at it. He was key in creating the poison pill contract that brought Curtis Martin to the Jets. He drafted well as a GM when Mangini was around, but the drafts went into the crapper when Rex came to town. Resigning Sanchez was a huge mistake, but odds are he was being pushed to do that by the coaching staff.

Tannenbaum is great with the cap, negotiations, and acquiring players via trade. He absolutely needs talent evaluators around him though.

  6. Not really a mistake per se, but the Rotoworld blurbs about Tannehill before and after the Jets game were pretty funny. Pre-game take was "he will be a legitimate QB 1 against the Jets' ridiculously bad pass defense." Post-game? "Tannehill, a popular streaming option in week 13, PREDICTABLY busted." LMAO

Ryan Tannehill (non-throwing shoulder) is practicing in full for Week 13.
Playing the best football of his career — and coming off his first four-touchdown effort — Tannehill will be a legitimate QB1 against the Jets' ridiculously bad pass defense. Nov 27 - 2:27 PM
Ryan Tannehill completed 25-of-35 passes for 235 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception in the Dolphins' 16-13, Week 13 win over the Jets on Monday night.
The tape of this game should be burned. Neither defense did anything special, while the offenses could barely function. Tannehill, a popular streaming option in Week 13, predictably busted. He should have had a couple of touchdown passes, but Mike Wallace didn't put in the effort on a would-be 26-yard score. Tannehill later missed a receiver in the end zone. His interception was hilariously awful and a stroke of bad luck. Tannehill threw a swing pass at Lamar Miller's feet. Miller reached down to catch it, but popped it up in the air for an easy pick. Tannehill will be a back-end QB1 against the Ravens in Week 14. The 7-5 Dolphins currently hold the No. 6 seed in the AFC. Dec 1 - 11:25 PM

It's the nighttime writer trolling the daytime writer. Also I'd say the nighttime guy was wrong, it wasn't predictable that Tannehill would bust, the Jets have been giving up points to average QB's all season long...They've given up the third most points to QB's per Yahoo.

  7. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Adrian Peterson would not be immediately reinstated were he to reach a plea deal to reduce his felony child-abuse charges to misdemeanors.

Rapsheet says AD would earn reinstatement "maybe in time," but "not immediately." It's unclear why that would be the case, but the NFL has been handling all of 2014's off-the-field issues by the seat of its pants.

  8. Kenny Britt (hip) was upgraded to "full" on Thursday.

The Rams' nominal No. 1 receiver will be good to go as a WR5 against the Seahawks' Legion of Boom on Sunday.

Interesting... because they play the 49ers.

I've always wondered if some of our fellow forum posters are the ones doing these blurbs. Corrections seem to come right after a mistake is discussed and reports of particular players seem to pop up generally right after a discussion is had on a particular player.

I would assume the writers read the forums.

  9. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4649/darren-mcfadden

Darren McFadden is expected to receive a heavy workload even if Maurice Jones-Drew (hand surgery) is active for Week 3.

Darren McFadden is expected to receive a heavy workload even if Maurice Jones-Drew (hand surgery) is active for Week 3.

McFadden was an every-down back last week, and will remain Oakland's starter. He's going to get the majority of carries over Jones-Drew and Latavius Murray, but isn't more than a low-end RB3/FLEX against the Jets' run defense. McFadden had just 37 yards on 12 carries in Week 2.
The Raiders are playing the Pats this weekend, not the Jets. The pats run defense isn't that great. (gashed in week 1 vs dolphins, did well against Vikings with no AP.)
