Angel Martinez SS Indians. A lot to like here. Could be a dsl breakout

Agree. BA put him on their Helium prospect of the week.  It is likely a long ways away though from contributing, but if you are in a deep league where you can stash a number of guys, then get him before he's gone.

  2. Griffin Conine OF Blue Jays, 6'1 200lb, 2nd Rd Pick with pedigree as his father is former big leaguer Jeff Conine.

He missed the first 50 games, I believe due to a PED suspension. That said, he has really been strong since he started his season.  One to add to watch list, because if he keeps this up he will start to pop up on the prospect maven's radars.

  3. Another superb start: 5IP, 3hits, 0ER, 1BB, 5Ks.  Only threw 79 pitches though.  He had been going deeper in his starts so not sure if there's any takeaway from the short outing today.  Get him up already!

I think for someone like Jazz, you didn't take him hoping he's going to be a top 100 talent still. you take him hoping he's going to skyrocket and be top 25.

Given how aggressive the assignment was, I give him a pass so far.  The power and likelihood he remains at SS does provide huge upside, but for sure he is going to have to show some plate discipline.

Hasn't been mentioned here, but he was placed on the IL on May 24th. Haven't seen anything about why, or when he might be back.

Following up on this, anyone have anything on why he went on the IL?

An intriguing middle infielder who came over from the Mexican league last year and did well at AA Portland in 24 games: .299, 7 HR, .299 ISO with a 12.5% BB rate and only a 18.3% K rate.

Traded to San Diego and has been raking at AAA El Paso: .282, 8HR, .244 ISO, 14.1% BB rate and a 17.9% K rate.

He's 27 and in a loaded system but think this guy is a real talent and has MLB potential. I saw him play in person a few weeks ago and came away thoroughly impressed. His plate discipline combined with power from a middle infielder is very unique.

Would love to see him get a shot...anyone else have a take on him?

He was really good last year with the Red Sox.  I think he may have got hurt, but I was hoping with the Pedroia injury they would call him up.  Hope he gets a shot.
