  1. Funny, I was going to post a .265-.270 avg with 40HRs.
  2. What a shame. There was an open spot, but instead the Giants called-up has-been Joey Rickard.
  3. Don't think he'll get a sniff this year. Also, I think the issue with Skubal not being ranked as highly is that there is concern in his secondary pitches. I believe it was Kiley McDaniels during a recent FG chat that said that Skubal's fastball and command of it is one of the better ones in the minors, but there is concern about having a plus second pitch and likely needs to add an average to plus third offering before they will rank him higher.
  4. It usually takes time for the power to return after this type of injury. Hoping they just shut him down and he returns healthy for ST next year. While he's likely out of the discussion as a first rounder, I would be happy to land him in the 15-20 range.
  5. I have not read anything that he will miss 'weeks', but he did have an MRI and MLB.com is reporting that he 'may' land on the IL. Francona noted that they wanted more 'eyes' on the MRI results. Sounds like it might be something that sends him to the IL, but it's still not clear, and if he does, for how long remains to be seen.
  6. Any update from the broadcast on Jo-Ram?
  7. 2-4 with a double and another HR last night. That's already his 10th home run in 67ABs with his new AAA team, bringing his season total between AA-AAA to 35Hrs.
  8. Just continues to deal: 6IP, 2hits, 0ER, 7Ks
  9. He's always been a very good, not great, prospect. That said, he's also been buried in Tampa Bay with their dearth of MI talent. This year, he's been lights out and the power surge may be juiced ball related, but the kid does look like he could put up some decent numbers.
  10. To me that's the most logical. From my end, some above are speculating that TJS is a foregone conclusion. Right now, there is nothing to base that on until something is shared that he has UCL damage. He was diagnosed with elbow inflammation and told to rest. Could this be an issue for him moving forward, sure it can but that does not mean Sale is going under the knife. Could it also be something that with rest goes away, I don't see why not based on the present diagnosis. For sure it depends on the league, but for me I was looking at it in terms of keeper/dynasty leagues. Given that he's
  11. Mazara to the DL. Solak gets The Call. See his thread.
  12. Seriously, can anyone point to an article or any information post-visit with Andrews that Sale has UCL damage and that TJS is a likely scenario? Unless you can, the speculation is baseless. If you are an owner in a dynasty/keeper league and want to sell him for pennies on the dollar, based on all the chicken littles spinning this story, then go nuts.
  13. And now Santana also out. Fingers crossed.
  14. Mazara left tonight's game with oblique tightness. Hoping if he hits the IL that they give Solak The Call.
  15. Honestly, this is taking things to the extreme. What we do know, he has elbow inflammation. There is absolutely no mention that there is UCL damage or that he is now some kind of candidate for TJS. Could he? Yes, obviously, but that is not really based on any medical opinion or diagnosis right now. Dr. Andrews did not recommend surgery or even list something else as an alternative before deciding if it was needed. The report says he has elbow inflammation and he received a platelet-rich plasma injection. He will refrain from throwing for 6 weeks. That's all that can be taken from this.
  16. Surprised nothing has come out yet on the meeting with Andrews. I don't think you can read into that, good or bad, but if anyone hears anything on the locals in Boston if you can please relay. Many thanks.
  17. I guess it depends if you believe that his stats this year are a 'true breakout'. If so, then he looks like he could have 20-25HR upside with a good average. Not sure his speed, but at least from his milb career he doesn't look like a guy that's going to give you more than 5-10sbs.
  18. Not really a guy I'd want. Looks mid to back end rotation upside.
  19. He's only 24 so he could add some additional power as he ages, I think he's got 25-25 upside. I agree with the above, he's hot then he's cold (start singing), but overall the numbers are there.
  20. Another solid outing today. 5IP, 4hits, 1ER, 2BB, 7Ks
  21. Clap clap, one month later and even better.
