  1. Clase with the save and looked absolutely filthy (I know, it was the Tigers). Threw almost nothing but 100 mph cutter/2-seamer at the bottom of the strike zone and the hitters just couldn’t barrel it up. Mazara fouled off a few, so he finally gets him with a slider. Congrats to those who have him. He’s good.
  2. Bush to IL, in case anyone was still holding out hope. Kennedy full speed ahead.
  3. A couple things: I know for me I was reporting usage and who was warming up. I don’t have a dog in the fight, so not leaning either way. I’m not saying it was directed at me alone at all, but just clarifying my stance. As for “stuff,” no doubt it’s Karinchak. I owned him last year, and he’s unhittable. But that walk rate, if it’s up around 6 BB/9, is a huge issue. He’ll put two on and you’re just hoping he Ks the side. It’s never easy. He may be the choice, but there will be many uncomfortable innings. Lastly, when people speak on Karinchak’s demeanor, they may be talking specificall
  4. I’ve been watching the Tigers game. Clase was the only one warming up a few days ago when it looked like the Indians might tie or take the lead. Today, Karinchak was the only guy warming up in the 7th. Appeared he might come in if Civale got in trouble. He didn’t end up pitching the 8th strangely enough, but all signs seem to be pointing to Clase imo.
  5. I’d like to see where he’s designated first. I’ve read AA or AAA. Probably not until September, but never know based on injuries/ineffectiveness. NO ONE expected Soto up when he got the call.
  6. I’m very high on Julio, so yes as far as future 1st rounders. I don’t think he has the same ceiling as Wander though, if that makes sense.
  7. This might be true for Yahoo or certain platforms, but not true of all. We use onroto and have Ohtani as one player. You can have both (and an extra bench spot) or no extra bench spot if you’d like to start at both UT and P in the same week. So in my league, and I assume there are others, you could get those stats. And it’s a huge bump in a weekly league, where he’s no longer hitting just 4 days.
  8. During his career, Schilling won both the Roberto Clemente award: “The Roberto Clemente Award is bestowed annually to the player who best represents the game of Baseball through extraordinary character, community involvement, philanthropy and positive contributions, both on and off the field.” As well as the Lou Gehrig Memorial award: “The Lou Gehrig Memorial Award is given annually to a Major League Baseball player who best exhibits the character and integrity of Lou Gehrig, both on the field and off it.”
  9. Appears to be for players, not if they hurt someone’s feelings on the internet after retiring. Either way, I love those who vote for Clemens, not Schilling. Kinda telling on themselves when they won’t vote for scumbag Curt, but will vote for Roger, who had an affair with a 15 year-old when he was 28. Statutory rape- ok. Yikes.
  10. He swore?!? On national TV, no less?!? Youre right, AB to the Pack! They don’t even care!
  11. Tough. Can see a number of possibilities here. I think I’d go Breida based on matchup and hope for the best.
  12. I think I’d roll with the two Cowboys and Hardman. McLaurin and Hollywood may have QB/no passing issues. Really like Mecole this week, as he should get more looks/snaps with Watkins out.
  13. I like James Robinson a lot this week. I’d roll with him.
