  1. This smells like Reynaldo Lopez, which is to say that it doesn’t smell particularly good.
  2. Well, it’s hard to defend whatever the hell that was. And yeah, I wouldn’t start him against the Twins unless I was already guaranteed to lose in ERA & WHIP.
  3. LaRussa called Vaughn an above average defensive left fielder today based on practice reps. But then he benched him for epic scrub Nick Williams. Very odd.
  4. Pablo Lopez really stinking up the joint. Anybody start both him and Luzardo?
  5. As a bitter White Sox fan and hater of Cubs culture, I relish this post.
  6. If Yermin Mercedes gets an infield hit, then that pretty much spells doom for any closer.
  7. Keston Hiura 3 run shot! Keep him in the 6 hole for a bit.
  8. Keston Hiura now 0-20. He’s got a long way to go if he wants to catch Chris Davis, who went 0-54 from 2018 to 2019.
  9. Come on, man! The Arizona game is do or die for Luzardo? At least this thread wasn’t bumped because of an injury, though.
  10. Christian Vazquez just doubled, and then stole 3rd. The early returns have been terrific. We all got this guy after pick #200, or at least the majority of his owners got him in the late rounds. He appears to be a pearl in a sea of swine.
  11. Sox fans have been waiting on him for a while, but he just doesn’t have it on defense. 1st round pick in 2016 - the year that really kickstarted the Rick Hahn era. 2016: 1st Round: Zack Collins C C1 Round: Zack Burdi P 20th Round: Matt Foster P Trade: Yoan Moncada 3B Trade: Michael Kopech SP Trade: Lucas Giolito SP Trade: Dane Dunning SP Trade: Reynaldo Lopez SP Gotta throw in 2017 just for good measure: 2017: 1st Round: Jake Burger 3B 2nd Round: Gavin Sheets 1B 3rd Round: Luis Gonzalez OF Rule V: Yermin Mercede
  12. In his first AB he fouled off 4 pitches, and now he just hit a ball 317 feet on a fly out. Things are looking up. I think he’s well on his way to snapping out of this 0-17 hitless streak. Side note - autocorrect tried to change hitless to gutless.
  13. Nick Senzel with 9 runs in 19 plate appearances. Tied for the league lead with Altuve. It sure is nice going up against Pirates pitching.
  14. What was his ADP, like around the 80-90 range? Hard to give up on an investment like that. I’ll tough it out for at least a couple months. They’ve only played 2.5% of the season, it’s only 15 ABs, blah blah blah. I know people don’t want to hear it. But that’s what you have to tell yourself.
