  1. While I'm not shocked that a previous offender tested positive again, I am baffled at what it was that he tested positive for - Stanozolol. That is such an old school steroid. You'd think that people cheating the system would be taking undetectable, designer performance enhancers that are hard to test for. Maybe Robbie no longer gives a you know what.
  2. Yanks are in free fall. Last year they had the "next man up" mantra and it worked. Everyone pulled their weight. Now it seems they can't do anything right. Their "sure thing" bullpen has been blowing leads left and right. Starters are hit or miss. Gerrit Cole is far from the deGrom ace they're paying for (so far). Hitting has been bad. I really don't like the whole philosophy of getting into the playoffs and having everyone healthy and back in the lineup for that. You can't just slot someone in that hasn't played in weeks. Hitting requires repetition. The Yankees overhauled their trainin
  3. Let's be real here. He'd get hurt running to first. Ain't no pinch runner for that.
  4. So done with him. Not worth the ratio blowups for a few measly saves. With closer being a more volatile position than ever before I'm sure we'll be able to find someone to replace him within the week.
  5. Kevin Durant had the same injury in the playoffs last year. He was playing on a compromised leg though. Soroka just had a freak injury.
  6. I dropped him. Secretagentman is right. Shortened season and the Yankees lineup is stacked. He'll spell a guy here or there, but there isn't consistent at bats for him unless someone were to get hurt. I'd drop and monitor.
  7. Giancarlo will stub his pinky toe walking around his apartment and miss some time. Bank on it 🤣
  8. He's looked really good at the plate in their intrasquad games. Hit two home runs off of Gerrit Cole. Opposite field shots. Problem for him will be getting consistent at bats. Especially since he's a butcher with the glove.
  9. Still waiting on Greg Bird to emerge... he's been spending too much time with Ellsbury 😂
  10. So this is what I've come up with. I don't see the Yankees being as active with free agency as people might think. Their offseason moves will revolve around who they choose to bring back with a roster that has a lot of depth. SP1 - Gerrit Cole SP2 - Luis Severino SP3 - James Paxton SP4 - Masahiro Tanaka SP5 - J.A. Happ / Domingo German / Jordan Montgomery RP - Zack Britton RP - Luis Cessa RP - Chad Green RP - Adam Ottavino RP - Tommy Kahnle RP - Jonathan Loaisiga RP - Tyler Lyons / Nestor Cortes Jr. / Stephen Tarpley C - Austin Romine, Gary Sanchez 1B - Luk
  11. Throwing him out there with the favorable matchup, and it being early in the week. Also his rehab numbers were pretty good (allowed only 1 BB in 21.1 IP) so that was very encouraging. Usually after TJ surgery, control is the last thing to come back.
  12. Can someone with actual baseball expertise explain to me how Felix has seemingly fallen off a cliff in the last few years? He's still relatively young at 33 years old. I wonder if he could reinvent himself, if not with Seattle, then maybe elsewhere.
  13. "More power!!!" - Brian Cashman. Seriously though, as a Yankees fan, where do you play all these guys once everyone is healthy? There was already a logjam with the guys that can only DH. They must have gotten him for next to nothing.
  14. Having this guy slotted at catcher gives the Yankees such a huge advantage over most teams running a AAA bat in their lineup. I always wonder if his long term future is behind the dish though. His defense is much improved this year.
  15. If you watch the video you can hear Judge dropping the F bomb as he walks to the clubhouse. I think he realizes the significance of the injury. I'd say 6-8 weeks, making the target return date early June.
