  1. Which of my pitchers should I part with in favor of Gonzales, if any?

    1) Yahoo 10 Team Keeper Roto 5x5 (Keep 3 for 3 years)

C: Gomes 1B: J. Martinez  2B: Albies  3B: Moustakas  SS: Andrus  OF: Harper, Haniger, Blackmon,  UT: Benintiendi

SP: Sale, Quintana, McCullers, Wood, Manaea, Stripling, Freeland  RP: Iglesias, Kela, Ottavino, Barraclough, Rondon

    Bench: Desmond

    DL: Cespedes, Torres

Definitely looks like a roster under construction. You obviously take Barkley at number 1 and you don't trade him unless you get a king's ransom. Your WR and QB situation could use some work so I'd shop other 2 picks but I'd also be aware that you could probably snag one of the top QBs and one of the top WR with those picks and build a potential dynasty for the future with those 3 picks (you don't have too much to be excited about in the present).

That sounds kinda like fun though I might look into a 14+ team dynasty league although I imagine its very very unbalanced since hitting and missing on prospects carries a ton more weight.

Yeah that was pretty much the plan once I took over this team. Build a proper dynasty from scratch and set myself up for victories in the future. Hopefully it pays off...Jackson, Barkley, Davis, Howard should be a solid team to build around.

At 1 you're obviously going to take Barkley, only trade him for an offer you can't refuse (I recently traded fournette and the 2nd lick for Barkley and the 10th pick). At 8 go with the flow of the draft, I've seen Chubb go as high as 2 and yesterday got him at 9 in a rookie draft. I believe Chubb is your best bet if available. At 2.01 I would consider Lamar Jackson, Carr is good but may never be an elite QB1, Jackson has that upside.

Or at 8 if you aren't happy with any og the options move that pick for a 1st next year from the worst team that wants it.

    Chubb went 4 btw :)

Dude, that is a ruin that makes Pompeii look good. You're going to have some fun turning that into a proper team I'm sure - and when you do, it'll be very satisfying.

I like what Ddam is saying; go for the instant RB rookies and one QB so you can at least have a season.

Who is in the taxi squad, anything worthwhile?

Thanks man. Taxi squad was just cleared prior to the draft so everyone I had on there is now on active roster. Time to add some rookies to it!

This is obviously my strategy but was just curious if trading back for proven talent was a better move so I could at least have somewhat of a season. However, I took this team over to rebuild and be elite down the road rather than now so this aligns with where my head is at. Thanks for the advice!

  6. 14 team dynasty league (Roster size: 9 starters, 15 reserves, 4 taxi squad):

    QB: Carr, Flacco, Keenum, Webb

WR: Amendola, Campanero, Cole, Garcon, Davis, King, Perriman, K. White, Trent Taylor

RB: Miller, Ware, Jones, Breida, Darkwa

    TE: Howard, Kendricks, Griffin, Gathers

I took the team over last year and wasn't really left with any good options but a slew of draft picks. Got David and Howard in the first round of the rookie draft and this year I have picks 1.01, 1.08, and 2.01. Curious if I should grab instant impact rookies, or try and trade these picks away for a more proven player who can instantly upgrade my WR or RB position. Thoughts here?

    Thanks!

  7. Roster:

    1) Yahoo 10 Team Keeper Roto 5x5 (Keep 3 for 3 years)

C: Gomes 1B: J. Martinez  2B: Albies  3B: Moustakas  SS: Andrus  OF: Harper, Haniger, Blackmon,  UT: Benintiendi

SP: Sale, Quintana, McCullers, Wood, Manaea, Stripling, Freeland  RP: Iglesias, Kela, Ottavino, Barraclough, Rondon

    Bench: Profar

    DL: Cespedes, Torres

I'm fairly set for pitching with the exception of saves and ERA. After being in last for saves, my relief pitching is starting to pick up. I'm struggling with my bats despite having a solid roster right now. Should I prioritize any trades to better my team. Currently in 6th place at this point at 58 pts.

Leave a link and I'll return the favor. Thanks.

That is pretty odd. I doubt anyone has more than 1 catcher, and between Sanchez/Posey/Realmuto/Gattis/Molina/Ramos/Perez/Grandal you must be the only guy in the league without a good one. I would take Hicks or Suzuki over Diaz or Gomes personally, but maybe you will get lucky and Mejia will get called up with catcher eligibility to be your saving grace. I suppose this is pretty unrelated to your original topic, but I just find that interesting since catcher has been relatively deep this year.

Yeah I've been keeping a close eye on him actually!

Meadows is the drop for Andrus. I probably wouldn't bother with Peraza in a 10 teamer, but you could drop Profar for him if need be. Andrus is not a drop candidate. If you would prefer another save source over bat depth, you could drop Profar for Jimenez instead, but Jimenez likely won't be a long term fixture on your team, and I still prefer Profar. Is Gomes really the best catcher you could get in a 10 owner league? That would be the first place I can imagine you could find an upgrade here.

Meadows was the option I was going with first so thanks for the reassurance.

Catcher-wise....the other WW options are Diaz (Cervelli replacement), Chirinos, Barnhart, Hundley, Knapp, and Suzuki. Nothing special here. I had John Hicks, he ran dry so I picked up Gomes when he had a hot bat. Diaz has been the best of all of them over the past month while filling in for Cervelli.

  10. 1) Yahoo 10 Team Keeper Roto 5x5 (Keep 3 for 3 years)

C: Gomes 1B: J. Martinez  2B: Albies  3B: Moustakas  SS: Torres  OF: Harper, Haniger, Blackmon,  UT: Benintiendi

    Bench: Profar, Meadows

    DL: Andrus, Cespedes

Obviously, the first thing is that I need to figure out whether to drop Andrus or let go of Profar, Meadows, or Freeland to bring him back. Next, I am considering J. Jimenez for saves now that Greene is shelved or Smith since he looks like the best in SF. Also, Peraza is tempting me as well. Thoughts on how to get this done and what moves I should make?

  11. I was just proposed the following trade in my 10 team roto keeper league:

    Receive: Harper and Moose

    Send: Machado and Kemp

This is the last year i have Machado so it would make sense from that standpoint in that ill have Harper for the next 3 years, not counting the remainder of this year. Kemp has turned back the clock but Moose is a stable fit in for Machado. Thoughts on this? WHIR

  12. In my 10 team roto keeper league, I am looking to add Harrison ASAP. I grabbed Jankowski (for steals) and Crawford (for AVG) last week since they have been on a tear and I had a bunch of pitchers I was streaming.

Question now becomes, who do I drop to grab Harrison from Jankowski, Crawford, DeShields, and possibly Moncada or Torres?

Or do I stay put and pass on Harrison?

  13. 10 Team ROTO Keeper League

Just grabbed Freeland to start @SF tonight. Dropped Beltre because I'd rather put Cespedes on the DL and stream a pitcher to boost my numbers.

    Godley @ NYM tonight.

    Other potentials:

    Nova v SD

    Sabathia @KC

    King Felix v DET

    T. Ross @PIT

    5/19:

    J. Gray @ SF

    Manaea @TOR

    Peralta @MIN

    Quintana @CIN

  14. In my 10 team roto keeper league, I'm considering grabbing Carlos Santana as he seems to be finding his groove. Would you drop anyone on my current roster for him?
