  1. Nolan Arenado hit a three-run homer Monday in the Cardinals' narrow 6-5 victory over the Mets.

Arenado has six hits, five for extra bases, in his last four games, pushing his OPS back up to .821. The homer was his fifth in 123 plate appearances this season. He's driven in 21 runs through 29 games.

He's starting to get going as of late.

Not saying Lindor won't turn it around somewhat this season (kinda hard to be any worse) but I honestly think his contract may go down as one of the worst in baseball history.  From a fantasy aspect I owned him the last 2 years and while his 2019 looks good on paper he definitely started showing signs that he was not the fantasy superstar some believe he is.  He still plays excellent defense but I am pretty sure they didn't pay him that amount for his glove.

I always thought he was kind of overrated for fantasy, not a guy I would spend a first or second round pick on. Great real life player for defense and a few years ago he started to hit more dingers but at the expense of batting avg (although .270 isn't too shabby either). I still think he'll turn it around, there are numerous tales of players struggling when going to a new team.

Yelich can leg out a grounder with the best of them now that his back situation is "better".

Hoping for a HR before July from this "#1 pick".

I read it was running that caused his back issues, specifically trying to steal bases. I want him to just be a turret and hit some homers and not worry about running.

Grade 3 hip flexor strain, i.e. complete tear, according to 670 WSCR radio in Chicago, per Rick Hahn's news conference. Terrible news. Recovery could be several months with or without surgery.

He's basically done. Gonna be out at least 16 weeks.

The Dodgers really are turning this into a disaster in slow motion. First they wait two days for the MRI and now they let this out. Just call it already. Put my team and many others out of their misery.

Without the mri, you could tell by his reaction that his elbow/forearm was likely cooked.

I'll eat my words if it happens, but I still say no way. Another thing to consider-the Rays lost out on tens of millions in extra revenue by not being able to have fans in the stands for the postseason last year. It might have been negligible to a team like the Dodgers, but that is exactly where the extra money to pay for Bryant's salary would come from for Tampa. I'm sure they have the money, all MLB teams do and frankly it's ridiculous when they claim they do not. So it would be nice to see from a competition standpoint, but I just can't see it happening.

Bryant hit his 7th bomb off Miley in the 1st inning, and I guess Cubs fans just have to hope he continues to increase his value ahead of the eventual trade.

I hope the ricketts stop being greedy cheapskates and try to extend bryant, rizzo and baez. I don't wanna see those guys go to other teams. I know it doesn't make much sense for me to hold onto the 2016 team, but I don't wanna see those guys go.

I am doing whatever I can to buy low on Lindor right now. I am confident that it has been an extra weird start to the year for the Mets, new city, new league, etc. He will figure it out soon and get on a roll.

His underlying numbers don't seem that bad. he's not striking out more and he's been getting his walks. His BABIP is about 100 points lower than his norm. He's just in a funk and I think he'll break out of it at some point. I thought about trying to buy low too, but too lazy to even try to trade with the owner.
