Play more games?  He has been on my bench for the past 2 weeks because he is playing poorly in games.  Yeah I missed his homer the other night but DeJong got me 2 instead and it is impossible to guess what day Manny might run into a ball at this point.  If Manny gets hot for a couple of days then I'll plug him in and see.  If not I'll keep moving DeJong into the slot daily unless he slumps.  Maybe Amed Rosario will get on fire for me again now that he is over the flu.  Could use the steals.

In the end when you have what is usually an everyday player in a mega-slump come playoffs, you just have to look at the 2 or 3 day trend between your options at the position.  Look at the pitching match-up and the split stats and make your decision anew every 24 hours.

That is what managing in fantasy baseball is all about in the end.  That and building a flex bench up all season so you have options come playoffs.  Of course that doesn't mean you screw it up.  You just get to actively screw it up instead of being a passive lump on a log screwing it up, heh.

That's what I'm doing, I picked up Jose Reyes just for the hell of it, because he has some really good matchups. I just wanted to get a feel what other Machado owners heading into their championship weeks are doing.

disregard....mlb.com had it TBD all way to 7 oclock when I had to decide to start martinez or not and I checked later on and they updated it....they always have the info

No they don't actually. Every other site has Scherzer going Monday. Aj Cole is projected to start Saturday and Strasburg Sunday.

Yahoo!, fox sports, espn and Fantasypros have Aj cole and Strasburg going this weekend. You scared the crap out of me because my opponent has Scherzer and if he gets a second start this week I am not going to the finals.

Heading to the Semi-final. Looking at my lineup for next week. I've got a lot of good hitters with few too many spots

    C- Wilson Ramos

    1- Matt Olson

    2- Robinson Cano

    3- Josh Donaldson

    SS- Manny Machado

    OF- Nelson Cruz

    OF- Rhys Hoskins

    OF- Byron Buxton

    Utl- Edwin Encarnacion

    Bn- Eddie Rosario

    Bn- Justin Smoak

    Bn- Jose Martinez

The Twin face three lefties and four righties and the pitching they are facing seems horrible overall.

Would you bench anyone for Rosario? Maybe Edwin since he is going to to be away at LAA and Sea? Or Hoskins because he faces the dodgers pitching staff?

I got Buxton in because he faces some lefties and seems to be getting hot again.

Picard, my point is that what Donaldson did in 2015 hardly matters when you are planning for your 2018 fantasy season. That was a lifetime ago by fantasy standards. Hes going to be 32 years old, which isn't a death sentence by any means, but is certainly around the age where many players show decline. And he had chronic leg injury problems this year. Those are likely to become more frequent/severe as he gets older. Correa on the other is just entering his prime and is a phenomenal talent. I also see a pretty high likelihood that Seager has a higher ADP than Donaldson next year too, even with his somewhat disappointing year.

Ok so, Donaldson if you were to prorate Donaldon's numbers this year, he would be pretty close to his 2015 mvp season. I agree with you that Correa is awesome, but Donaldson is really good too. I don't see Seager being a 40 homer guy for now, while if Donaldson had SS and you could get 35-40 homers from him that would make him a SS1.

So let me get this straight.... when its time to draft next year, you are going to rely on stats from a season 3 years removed as justification to draft Donaldson as the 1st SS off the board? What? Sorry but 2015 is almost irrelevant.

Let me get this straight... why do I have to have the same opinion as you? Maybe you should go grab on to correa's nuts his thread B)
