  1. Hello everyone, I'm looking for one owner to join the ABDBL. The league is going into its 9th season and is a free, 12 team dynasty hosted on Yahoo. We play daily h2h categories: R, HR, RBI, SB, TB, AVG, OBP, W, QS, K, ERA, WHIP, SV+HD. The league utilizes a salary cap, contracts, rookie draft, and UFA/RFA bidding systems. Transactions are logged through a Proboards website and salary/contract information kept in a Google Spreadsheet. Daily or near-daily Proboards activity is required- this is what is holding back the current owner of this team- on top of your regular day
  2. Hello all! I have one spot open in my long running salary cap Yahoo dynasty league. The league is a free 12 team dynasty league hosted on Yahoo that's been running since the 2013 season. The roster is good and includes Acuna, Bregman, and Flaherty. We use a contract system with UFA, RFA, prospect draft, and contract extensions with a $105 salary cap. This team is a yearly playoff team and championship contender, off to a slow start this season due to the owner bailing out of the blue. Activity on a Proboards website is required, as that is where all transactions and league conversa
  3. You're going to see this from a lot of guys. Not your normal time to get ready for the season and not a normal spring. Plenty of stars and mashers off to just horrid starts.
  4. Yeah, that's trouble. Well, hope anyone with him in redraft can buckle down and survive.
  5. Obviously anything we say right now is pure speculation, but ASSUMING* that it is virus related, it could actually be viewed as a good thing. If he had it and has already quarantined and beat it, that means we likely won't have to worry about any future shutdown the rest of the season. In a year where players are going to be dropping like flies with no notice, it will be huge to have a guy like Yordan to anchor down the lineup as the season goes on. There's definitely still some concern about him not being here, but I think it's outlandish to jump straight to "we won't see him on t
  6. This guy has always been one of my darlings, a guy I've kept tabs on for years thinking he could turn into a really valuable fantasy player (especially with speed dying more each year). There's no doubt last season was dreadful- strikeouts up, walks down is a bad combo- and one to forget. There could have been some bad luck in play- his BABIP was down to .268, almost 30 points below his previous low of .293 (I'm excluding his first 25 PA sample size). Reports out of Red Sox camp have mentioned extra work with the hitting coaches and swing adjustments. It's definitely feasible that
  7. With the combination of his other tools, he doesn't need super elite power to be elite in fantasy. He hit 17 homers last season while stealing 28 bases, counting stats hurt a bit due to lineup spot. A .255 average isn't ideal, but also isn't terrible for someone who moved up quickly and playing full time in the MLB for their first season. We've made the point that maybe it will take a little longer than expected for it to all come together, but when it clicks for him I don't doubt that he can finish a season hitting around .300 with 20 homers and 35 steals to go along with good cou
  8. Bogaerts is a really nice comparison I think, at least numbers development wise. Obviously Xander doesn't have the speed Robles has, but he was a very good player that seemed to get overlooked because he didn't hit superstar status as fast as expected. Can absolutely see Robles flying under the radar (or even getting labeled as a bust) for a few years before taking off.
  9. Based off of the MLB Instagram page, looks like he homered off of Paxton as well.
  10. Hello all, The ABDBL is a free 12 team salary cap dynasty league that needs one replacement owner. The league is hosted on Yahoo and uses a Proboards to make transactions and keep track of finances. Daily h2h category league using all standard categories plus OBP, TB, QS, and SV+HD instead of just SV. The league is entering its 8th season and has a strong group of owners- many of which have been here since day one. The team is very good- a regular playoff team and championship contender. Highlights on the roster are Trout, Acuna, Stanton, Flaherty, and Bregman. This ros
  11. Hello all, The ABDBL is looking for one owner to replace a long time owner we've had that's stepping away from fantasy baseball. The league is a free 12 team dynasty league hosted on Yahoo that's been running since the 2013 season. The roster is VERY good and includes Trout, Acuna, Bregman, and Stanton. We use a contract system with UFA, RFA, prospect draft, and contract extensions with a $105 salary cap. This team is a yearly playoff team and championship contender. Activity on a Proboards website is required, as that is where all transactions and league conversation take place.
  12. I think you answered your own question. If you really want him, grab him in the 2nd.
  13. I’m excited to toss more in here, but I’m going to start with my holy grail of baseball freezing cold takes. Some years back, I had a rookie Nolan Arenado that I drafted in dynasty. I really liked him and was excited to have him anchor the squad for a while. However, I had a few good options at 3B and was weak at 2B. So I made a deal to get a young, category filler 2B and sent Arenado back because “well, you have to give to get.” That second baseman I got was Kolton Wong. I still struggle to see Arenado go bananas year after year. Talk about the wong call.
