  1. Samardzija had extreme mixed results last season vs. SDP both on the road and at home. He was either lights out, or mediocre. For the upside, I will start him in half the positions he was originally available in. Leagues I need Ks, I will take a chance.
  2. What is going on with Rangers lineup? Is it Beltre?
  3. I'm dropped a couple shares because I drafted him primarily to steal bases and so far he was caught on only one attempt.
  4. I'm not upset with Brandon Finnegan and Gio Gonzalez still widely available in so many mixed formats.
  5. https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN7945.html NA status in Yahoo Sports Fantasy Baseball The "NA" under injury notes stands for "Not Active." Why "NA" appears You could expect to see the "NA" designation for players who: Are holding out. Are on the MLB Bereavement List. Are on the MLB Paternity Leave List. Have been sent to the minor leagues or aren't on an official 40-man roster. Example: Non-roster invitees to spring training. Are injured for an indefinite amount of time but haven't been placed on the official MLB Disabled List
  6. Why is he NA? He just had DL now he's NA what gives?
  7. $11.5M Carlos Gomez is here to stay. Leading off, hitting home runs off Corey Kluber on Opening Days.
  8. Low K-rate, Low chase rate, decent contact hitter, excellent walk rate. Still very young. "Wants" to steal 30-40 bases. http://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/baseball/news/phillies-cesar-hernandez-bulked-up-wants-to-steal-more-bases/ Definitely worth a shot at the going price if you need to hit 140 bases for the year and you missed out on early round popular choices. He's unowned in most formats.
  9. You never want to own a player batting 7 through 9. And almost never own a player batting 6th unless it's in a stacked AL lineup (McCann, Bradley Jr., Haniger, Lucroy).
  10. (Copy and pasted from Carlos Gomez thread): I believed, since yesterday, that DeShields will bat 9th, rather than leadoff. The whole DeShields batting leadoff thing just seems like media buzz to me. I'm still grabbing a couple shares just in case, but not dropping anyone that I would miss too much (Puig, Ryu, and Castellanos so far). I've seen this over and over again throughout the years, that a player of Gomez's caliber, with the success he had in Texas last season, there is absolutely no reason to supplant him from the leadoff spot in favor of someone w

  12. There's always the old adage of "This is why I draft my leagues the last day". That statement is rather amusing, as an attempt to actually prevent injuries from happening. No, this is the reason why you spread your drafts out evenly.
  13. Not the biggest fan of RH leadoff hitters, but Ian Kinsler made it also work for the Rangers, and makes it continue to work for the Tigers. I have Carlos Gomez as a strong exception and I expect him to be closer to his first-round value that he was a few seasons back with the Brewers.
