  1. I suppose it could be that. But this reminds me of Chris Sale talking about his slider during the All-Star break last year. He said that he has two grips on the ball that causes two different slider movements. One grip causes a slower slider that he uses early in the count. The second slider has a tighter grip and moves quicker. The batter is deceived from the change of speeds between the two different sliders. He uses the quicker slider as his strikeout pitch. That demo blew my mind up. Hopefully, Fulmer is developing something along those lines.
  2. I need 10 pts out of my flex spot in a PPR League on Monday night. My choices are Odell or Perkins. Obviously it's Odell if he plays. I just hope he won't be playing the role of decoy. Time will tell.
  3. There is going to be a lot of over reaction theatre happening this week both here and in the sports media. But it will mostly be just that, over reaction to one game. I am not going to deny that he a number of throws that were wild. But there were throws that were perfectly placed that were not caught due to the receiver being interfered with, a good defensive play, or the receiver just dropping it. He had one TD overturned, and those PI calls turned into Gilislee TDs. The biggest problem is the injuries. Edelman is obvious. The lesser discussed injury is Malcolm Mitc
  4. Keep him. I picked him up for free right as he was hearing up. I look forward to rooting for him over the next half decade.
  5. Bell's suspension was the first 3 games of the season and his bye week was week 8. The Cowboys' bye week is week six, and Elliot is not eligible to come back until week eight. I guess it doesnt make a difference, but it seemed more impactful because you won't get any production out of Elliot until the end of October.
  6. There is a big difference between 3 weeks and seven weeks (suspension plus a bye week). Having him is a great boost for the playoffs, but you need to have a plan to manage through the weeks where he gives you nothing. That, of course, may be a moot point if the suspension is reduced, eliminated, or postponed.
  7. I understand that there is a lot of optimism, but I would assume the worst until there is something more definitive. I wouldn't touch him before the second round with the current information available. With the other safe options available at that point, there is no point in needlessly lowering the floor.
  8. Whatever you do, just stay flexible. You can plan on AB all day as it is the most likely course of events. But, it may be worthwhile to see what some possible scenarios are with Bell.
  9. I would get rid of the extra kicker and defense on your bench. Better to invest in a QB or two until/if Luck returns that are not named Cutler. What QBs are on the wire?
  10. In a 10 team league, you probably went QB too early. I most likely would have went with a RB in the 3rd. But I really can't argue with TB. I'm sure you know this, but your running back situation needs to be addressed. I'm not sure who is on your waiver wire. But, you are pretty deep at WR and would be in a position to trade for a RB. I would try to see what the appetite for Allen is.
  11. I had the 6th pick in the draft. It's also a keeper league so I was surprised that Elliot fell that far in the second (2.7).
  12. I love that trade for you. I also am down on Gurley so agree that now is the best time to return a profit. Your receivers have good depth now and you can use that to upgrade your RBs if it is necessary.
