  1. Akil Baddoo is just a joy to watch. Should be talked about way more than he is - the way he battles in the box at 22 years old (as a rule 5 pick, no less) is just impressive. 2-run HR in his 2nd AB tonight against a guy that’s at least in the Cy Young discussion. Works out of an 0-2 count to draw a walk in his 3rd AB. Fights off a 1-2 offering from a lefty for a 2-run single in his 4th AB. The Tigers have a table setter.
  2. The 2-seamer to strike out Soto was incredible.
  3. Sounds like a perfect opportunity for…. Logan Morrison
  4. But are you even explaining it all that well? You yourself said that the Red Sox don’t need them both, and that they are slot clones of one another. You also keep using one bad at bat as a strike against Duran, but he followed up that one at bat with a great at bat, which is one of the things that the Red Sox very own front office claimed they needed to see. You can keep citing “real baseball”, but there is no law or rule book that dictates what “real baseball” must look like. Teams do as they will, and that makes criticism fair game. Especially when a team continues to play subpar pe
  5. Added to BA’s top 100 prospects today. #100
  6. Just spitballing here, but I feel like they either call him up tomorrow (beginning of a 7 game home stand) or wait another 2 weeks (beginning of the next home stand). Without being able to cite a source besides my shoddy memory, it seems these top prospects get called up at the beginning of a stretch of home games.
  7. Injured the wrist yesterday on a swing. MRI today.
  8. 3-run walk off homer. soon.
  9. This guy has been money over the last month (OBP leagues, especially). Feel like the numbers can improve as well. He’s batting leadoff for a force of a lineup and getting on base at a 44% clip over the last month. I think there’s more counting stat upside to be tapped into and statcast numbers are backing up the performance. Looking forward to getting 3 games in Coors to start the week, where he’s a .423 career hitter.
  10. Anyone got an optimistic take here? I’ve seen Solak once in person this past week and watched several games over the last few weeks, and he just seems completely lost by my untrained eye. I don’t see anything from the advanced metrics that gives me any conviction to hold either. Curious to see where everyone stands.
  11. 12th steal of the season last night as well. Only been caught once all year. The tools are loud, folks!
  12. 2nd home run of the season, 9th steal tonight. Looking pretty good so far.
  13. Really like what I've been seeing from Frazier lately. Average up over .300 after last night's performance, with an OBP sitting at .421 on the back of a career high walk rate. Strikeout rate is also a few ticks down from his career average, which never hurts. As a bonus, he's pitched in a couple of steals over the last week. All in all, he's absolutely destroying the baseball and Boone is going to have to keep finding ways to keep his bat in the lineup.
  14. 3 HR's in his last 2 games - up to 30 on the year. Let's hope this is the beginning of another hot streak from Moose.
  15. Looks like Chad Green is opening for the Yankees today. Would be a great time for Loaisiga to make his return - anyone know if he will get innings tonight?
  16. Won't show too much in the stat sheet, but another huge game offensively for JD last night. Home run to break the ice early, but his most impressive AB was probably his last. Got down 0-2 with the bases loaded in a tie game, looked completely composed at the plate, and spit on an 0-2 slider for a deep, opposite field sac fly that ended up being a game winner.
  17. This guy should be getting way more buzz in fantasy circles. Statcast numbers off the charts and the playing time is finally starting to sort itself out.
  18. Grisham got the start against the RHP on coincidence because Cain got the breather for that one. Cain doesn't need that many days off. Grisham is likely there to serve notice to some of the struggling lineup guys - if the offense doesn't start clicking soon, I think that playing time will ramp up. I'm holding for now.
