  1. The comment was more of a joke about the ridiculousness of judge when he said those numbers are unsustainable for anyone. Since judge has actually sustained those numbers over his career. And I'm referring to the 96.5 EV 63.6 hardhit
  2. Those numbers are pretty close to Aaron judges career average EV and hard hit. So I guess they're sustainable for someone. 😂😂
  3. I'd like to take a crack at this and I hope I'm on target for what you're asking. I personally like baseball savant and that's what I'll be talking about and giving an introduction on. Let's use Aaron Judge as an example. If you go to https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/aaron-judge-592450?stats=statcast-r-hitting-mlb. One of the first windows you'll see is this one: This gives you a great snapshot of what type of player they have been for the selected season. Each category includes a number which tells you what percentile they rank in comparison to the rest of baseball
  4. Back in the lineup batting first tonight!
  5. Just thought I'd bring it to everyone's attention as something to keep an eye on.
  6. 2020: 2021: You guys at all worried about this right here? I'll be interested to see what these splits look like EOS. I'm not sure I can say top 12 player next year if he's having to leave that little league park. Vladdy is guilty of it too: 2020: 2021:
  7. I get the feeling he wants to steal any time he's on and a base is open. This might be too optimistic, so take with a grain of salt, but I'm hoping for 40 sb.
  8. He has returned to being a turd I have to agree. In regards to your question about monthly splits on savant: You go to game logs, then select statcast, and then there are 2 date fields that you can use to filter by. It will show you the outcome of every at bat and what I posted previously was the aggregate of that data.
  9. Last night Moncada attempted to steal on a 2-2 count with 1 out to abreu in the bottom of the 9th but abreu fouled it off. And there have been similar situations in the past couple weeks. So he might just be very selective with his spots.
  10. Are we going to get any home runs from this guy or is he going to knock in 100 rbis with just singles and doubles?
  11. The 3000 hit man put a stop to that idea right quick.
  12. So I've seen some comparisons thrown out there like Degrom, Aaron Nola, and Tyler Glasnow. So for comparison sake I've compiled the stat lines of each of these pitcher's first games for everyone: Degrom against NYY 2014: Nola against TBR 2015: Glasnow against STL 2016: Logan Gilbert against CLE 2021: Now you might be asking to yourself, "Oh great Gumbercules what have you divined from this information?". And I would say.... Nothing absolutely nothing.
  13. Thought I'd throw this out there Biggio April: Biggio May: It looks like he's turning it around to me. Striking out less, walking more, and hitting the ball hard more frequently.
  14. Wasn't that the indians not Padres?
  15. I remember people saying it pretty loudly.
  16. Is he a transformer? A robot in disguise? I feel like he got the red light after he got caught stealing 3 times and just said screw it, I'll hit for power then. He is now tied for first on my team in homeruns with judge and meadows. Does he have a realistic shot at 30/30?
  17. Are we still looking at J.B. Bukauskas as the future closer this year for the DBacks or is he a safe drop at this point?
  18. Take a look at his game logs over the past 2 years. He has a blow up like this about once every other month on average. I wouldn't be worried.
  19. So what's the deal with this guy? How has he looked this spring training? Is he worth drafting?
  20. I like the 16 team playoff format. I think they should actually go even further. Make the 16 teams be determined by the winners of the last 3 game series of the season. The 16th team will be drawn from a hat.
  21. Didn't see one for him and thought I'd create a thread since he's starting on Wednesday against the Nationals. So how many strikeouts is he going to get with his 100+ mph fastball?
  22. 12 team 5x5 roto standard. We get to keep 5 with max 1400 ip. A lot of closers went earlier than i expected. Otherwise how did I do? C : Yasmani Grandal 1B : miguel sano 2B : cavan biggio 3b : Yoan Moncada ss : manny machado OF : Meadows, Judge, Bellinger Util : Nelson Cruz Util : Laureano Bench : Oscar Mercado, Brandow Lowe, Cesar Hernandez, Nick Madrigal SP : Flaherty, Giolito, Kluber, Julio Urias, McCullers, Robbie Ray, Garret Richards, Nate Pearson RP : Ken Giles, Dellin Betances, Aaron Bummer
  23. I would like to hear people's thoughts on my boy Austin. I have him in a keeper league and I want to know if he's a 5 cat stud or is he going to crush my dreams. Thanks.
  24. I don't know if it's a trend or not but over the past 2 seasons he's started out hot and then faded. During the 2018 season he hit .275 with 7 hr and an OPS of .866 and then promptly regressed to the mean. Much like 2019.
  25. We going to see this post in every thread involving the astros?
