  1. Gotta love when they wait three days to make the move they were almost definitely always going to make.
  2. I guess we should award the AL East to the Orioles, too. Sure, it's only three games, but why wait for the rest of the season?
  3. I will, too. If he's really only out a week or two, that's not too bad. Obviously, a wrist problem for a hitter is a significant concern.
  4. https://twitter.com/JonHeyman/status/1378509128046419969?s=20 X-Rays on Hayes's wrist came back negative. Edit: 7th Beatles beat me to it.
  5. The Pirates just don't get to have nice things. [...] Even if it isn't broken, this could significantly slow him down for a while. If it is, that could derail what was shaping up to be a hell of a rookie season.
  6. Obviously, he does have to reduce the K-rate, but man, he hits the ball hard. He really did put a pretty swing on the ball he drove to the wall today. The two pitches before that, he looked lost.
  7. I've seen it before, but it was still a ridiculous screwup by Turner. It was very much a Coors Field home run. That ball barely snuck over the wall. Still nice to see him hitting the ball hard.
  8. He pitched poorly, but that infield defense is also a real problem. They need to get a real shortstop out there or all of the starting pitchers are going to suffer.
  9. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/watch-dodgers-opening-day-baserunning-error-turns-two-run-cody-bellinger-homer-into-one-run-single/ It sure looks like Turner just put his head down. Idiot cost me a home run!
  10. That is how you begin a season in style. I can't say I love my teams this season, but one positive is I have Hayes on both.
  11. That is as good of a theory as any, but it is driving me insane. I've got Eduardo Rodriguez and Rafael Dolis on my money league team. Both are expected to open the season on the IL. Through a weird quirk in our league, I have too many players currently on my roster. I have to be down to the limit before the games start tomorrow or I get zeroes for the day due to an illegal roster. I shouldn't have to cut anybody, but these damn teams are waiting so long, I might have to do exactly that.
  12. That's not how quoting a source works.
  13. My money league is a two-catcher league. That is why I've got Kirk along with Sean Murphy. I've got a chance to get a lot more production than guys who spent a lot more on the position.
  14. Looks like the draft room is down on Fantrax.
  15. It does theoretically open up some at-bats in the DH slot in the lineup. Grichuk should play almost every day in the outfield as long as Springer is out. They could just go with Tellez every day, but they seem to really like Kirk's bat and that could get him in the lineup more.
