  1. Yeah, I saw this before I posted, but thought it was weird how they compared him to Lamet in a negative framing. I’m assuming he is referring to the fact that they rely on mainly two pitches, but seeing as Lamet blew up last year, I would have thought there would ha e been a more positive spin (unless the two pitches resulted in him getting hurt, which may be true given the history of injuries that have been connected to heavy slider use).
  2. Faced a very good offense on the road and while the ERA doesn't look pretty, he had 7 Ks, 1 BB, and a 19.8 SwStrk%. Apparently he was using his slider (best pitch) a lot more, which some say could be due to the matchup, but maybe there is something here?
  3. Got hurt towards the end of March with an expected recovery time of about a month. That timeline comes to an end in about a week, but I can’t find anything since he went down (looking Twitter and Google). Anyone happen to have any information?
  4. It's been less than a week and it's not like he is striking out a ton (5:2 K/BB ratio). Also has a .083 BABIP. Not everyone is gonna hits the ground running and many guys (e.g. Tyler O'Neill, Hiura) are looking far worse. There's still reason to believe he can be valuable.
  5. Made the OD roster as a reliever.
  6. Jeff Hoffman is a dark horse for the role as well. Probably over Lorenzen who they really want to be a starter.
  7. As far as I’m concerned, we have no idea who Hiura is yet. Still only 24, he’s had about one full season’s ABs, where has chosen to sell out his plate discipline for power. But prior to that, he was all about the plate discipline with not a ton of power. That begs the question: can he regain his plate discipline while maintaining his power gains he’s made over the last few years while. Also, how will the deadened ball impact his power? Again, he is only 24 and has played the equivalent of one full MLB season, so not enough data to say anything about him for sure. He could very
  8. Impressive player comp: https://www.playerprofiler.com/nfl/ryan-tannehill/
  9. Didn’t see the game and never heard of this guy but the stats look good, especially for a PPR format. Anything to see here?
  10. 14 team .5 PPR league. Need to upgrade my WRs and have decent depth at RB although that will change if I do this deal. My roster is as follows: QB Lamar Jackson ($3) RB Nick Chubb ($11) RB James Robinson ($5) WR Cooper Kupp ($47) WR Brendan Cooks ($15) TE Darren Waller ($5) Flex Chris Carson ($52) Flex Greg Ward ($5) Bench Corey Davis ($5) Bench Leonard Fournette ($39) Bench Joshua Kelley ($1) Bench Dalton Schultz ($5) IR Devine Ozigbo ($5) This is a keeper league by the way, which impacts value. Boyd is $14 and can kep
  11. Yes, this was what made me bump this thread.
  12. Why is no one talking about him? 6 HR/4 SB 18% K rate, 15% BB rate .247 ISO, .290 BABIP with a .267 BA 9% Soft% (42% Hard%) 21.6% LD/29.7% GB/48.6% FB 7.9% SwStrk% Are these not elite numbers?
