  1. You can bypass more of these lists now by looking at stats on Baseball Savant and Fangraphs; there's soooo much more information there than there used to be and so much of the writing is just parsing data that's readily available to everyone.
  2. That's not clear. It's not clear that he's even an adequate Major League catcher. Love the bat but defense is very much in question and it's either a catcher, 1st base, or DH profile, and that part of the Jays roster is unfortunately crowded.
  3. deGrom side may need to sweeten the deal, but in pitching-starved leagues, I can see this getting completed 1-for-1.
  4. Real-life teams complete seemingly lopsided trades based around salary all of the time. If you're doing a salary cap league, you have to assume that the same thing's going to happen and how that information is left out of the post, I have no idea...
  5. 30 home runs is right in line with his projections, but okay
  6. All the people here who don't understand the concept of a ceiling arguing semantics smh...
  7. Actual production isn't a ceiling.
  8. If last year was 162 games, he was on pace for 30/24.
  9. I know you don't. If you did, I'm sure you'd enlighten me. Y'all know Bohm isn't playing 162 games, either, right? And that Bohm has a 40-game Major League track record...?
  10. Can't believe so many people are nervous about mcneil's playing time because of 68 wRC+ Villar.
  11. Very even; go with your gut on this one.
  12. 1) No, vaccines are moving fairly quickly at this point and I'm optimistic that COVID won't be a major issue this season. 2) I thought Soto ended up being a false positive, anyway. I think you have to believe a few guys like Freeman, Moncada, and Carlos Martinez had it, but the asymptomatic cases are pure guesswork.
  13. Depends on the options but I'd definitely keep May over him at this point.
  14. Ew no. Do not give up Wander in a dynasty unless you're getting like a top-20 dynasty player back and, for the love of god, get competing offers from other teams. This guy isn't the only one interested in the top overall prospect.
  15. Gausman and Musgrove are both excellent choices. I'd stay away from Price; with him missing last year, who knows what you're getting? As for Manning, he's a young pitcher so he could disappoint or he could get hurt, so why mortgage your chance to win now? Many of these dynasty leagues overvalue young players; bank the good years from Musgrove or Gausman.
  16. I don't understand vetoing a trade and keeping both managers. If a trade's getting vetoed, surely one of the managers needs to be banned from the league.
  17. Yeah, trade looks completely fine to me. Surely the league has and/or will see worse deals than that at some point.
  18. Being open to change is great, but getting 12+ people to agree to make even the smallest changes is a gigantic pain; no chance I'd try to move platforms. If we were starting over, I'd be happy to give Fantrax a shot, but if you have a long-surviving dynasty league, you learn not to rock the boat too much.
  19. Sometimes "fast" just means over a tiny sample... he has an xwOBA better than Machado, Eloy, Gallo, and a bunch of other well-regarded bats since the start of 2019, plus he plays catcher.
  20. Saw your new post; I'm also repping Acuna/Soto/Robert/Bichette/deGrom in a keeper; feels good lol.
  21. I can't imagine who else would be there at #2 that would be more valuable than Robert, if he's allowed to fall to pick #2.
  22. Yes, they're trading picks. Is trading picks allowed or not?
  23. Both "over-rated" and "under-rated" are kind of stupid. They're very generally a little useful, but they're entirely irrelevant when you're discussing a player's value with another person. You basically end up making some message board commenter a stand-in for every fantasy writer hack you have a grudge against.
  24. We are looking for a manager to take over the team linked below: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BdqrTD9_RV9PoPV0OAXMcUn3j2MqV93oNPieMOuGId4/edit?usp=sharing We are a deep keeper, where teams keep 20 Major Leaguers and 20 Minor Leaguers every year. We have been in continuous operation since 2007. Scoring is H2H with categories as follows: Hitters: R 2B 3B HR RBI SB BB AVG A Pitchers: IP W CG K SV HLD GIDP ERA WHIP Please let me know if you're interested or have any questions.
  25. My reading is that these statements are directly contradictory. This, not incidentally, is why you're having trouble getting ESPN to do this without duct taping a convoluted solution together.
