  2. Who really knows with him? I can’t imagine the nightmare of Winston constantly bombing it downfield to inept wideouts. I’d say it would be more Belichickian to prove to everyone that he’d unearthed the next Brady.
  3. “Common sense,” eh? I feel like I’m re-reading a post from the 2018 OJ Howard Hype-Train thread from last pre-season. 😂
  4. Oh, I’m trying, Shake - would you mind citing some sources to support your claim? I’ve done some digging, and my overall impression is that Arians intends to maintain his current system largely intact, while also adjusting it in certain ways to “meet (Brady) in the middle.” If I’m missing something, kindly fill me in.
  5. Might be time to take this one to PM?
  6. Ditto - definitely top-5 potential in full PPR. And might still be had for a discount if some fear a RBBC.
  7. I do think it’s a misconception that Brady is incapable of still throwing an accurate deep ball. However, I think the main question now is how well will Brady adapt to an Arians offense focused on vertical strikes and longer-developing plays. It’s going to represent a major departure from the style of play to which he has grown accustomed in recent years: Jameis Winston: 2019 aDoT: 10.9 yards 2019 DT%: 15.8% 2019 ((Average Attempts/Distance)/Game): 10+ yards: 17.5 Attempts 15+ yards: 9.8 Attempts 20+ yards: 6.0 Attempts Tom Brady: 2019 aDoT: 8.0 yards (2018: 8.3 yards) 2019 DT%: 10.1% (2018: 11.4%) 2019 ((Average Attempts/Distance)/Game): 10+ yards: 10.9 Attempts (2018: 11.7) 15+ yards: 6.3 Attempts (2018: 5.2) 20+ yards: 3.4 Attempts (2018: 2.3)
  8. Right - what I meant was, has Arians explained how he plans to deploy Howard around the formation? Much like AH was moved around to different positions (despite his official designation), Howard might be used similarly with Brady under center.
  9. Welcome...to the desert...of the real...
  10. Did Arians state how Howard was going to be positioned this season? If so, I must’ve missed it.

  12. Aaron Hernandez. To an extent Martellus Bennett.
  13. Probably from some analytics quarters - here’s a different take indicating drops isn’t as much of an issue as PFF suggests: https://predominantlyorange.com/2019/05/02/denver-broncos-good-noah-fant-catch/amp/2/
  14. Yes. Here’s an informative and topical article on the subject: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sfchronicle.com/giants/amp/Top-Tommy-John-surgeon-defends-procedures-done-15154721.php
  15. Huh? Not at all - if anything the knock on him was that he was too much “receiver” at the TE position.
  16. I admire your optimism. My point was simply that Brown had more time to bond with Allen than Diggs will have this year.
  17. Apart from the fact that off-season activities will likely be heavily abbreviated.

  19. Who knows? It’s been awful quiet news-wise on the Perriman front. It’s pretty odd.
