  1. IMHO, I think the reason why he did not start in the bigs this year was the Angels' brass want him to play everyday. He needs more seasoning to sharpen his skills before he can play in the bigs. Getting intermittent playing time on the big league bench won't help his development as much as playing everyday in the minors. He was over matched last year and probably would have played in AA or AAA most of the year. As stated earlier, he needs to improve his fielding as well and playing everyday should help that. I do agree its wishful thinking he will come up anytime soon. However, who k
  2. If nobody answered this question, then Kapler seems to be sitting LaStella against lefties. I believe he's over the bruised shin and Kapler is playing the percentages. As someone aluded to earlier, Salano is absolutely raking, so he will not be taken out of the lineup. It's a very long season, so injuries will occur with the Giants and its aging roster (e.g. I'm talking to you Belt and Longoria). I think this will result in LaStella getting starts against some lefties later in the season. Hope this helps and good luck.
  3. OMG, this dude was absolutely filthy tonight. Throwing 99mph BBs and flames coming out of his hand! Google tonight's highlights and you will be impressed. This was only one game and if you are in a shallow league, place him on your scout team. If you are in a deep league, then consider picking him up. If you are in a dynasty league, then run to your computer and pick him up. This lottery ticket just may cash later this year!
  4. Yes, I really think that's the plan for him long term. However, if you are in a shallow or non-keeper league, then watch him and scoop him up if he's pitching well. If you are in a deep league, then he's worth a flyer. If you are in a keeper league, then I personally would target him. Pitching is toughest to predict but he has all the tools to be a stud. Good luck.
  5. I don't understand why a (naive) owner would trade a RB1 for Conner. That makes no sense and someone earlier said that Conner's injury history is baked into his trade value, which is true.
  6. Not to switch gears, but Gibby could get hurt and open the opportunity for Love. This underscores the nature of football; guys get hurt, and the next man must step up. If you are talented, then you will shine. If you have talent and a good system, then so much the better. In the 49ers case, Shanny is the RB whisperer. I doubt McKinnon will be given a full workload due to his two-year absence, and as a result the 49ers will deploy a three-man committee.
