  2. Havent listened to Em's album yet. Really awaiting Crime Pays. As an avid Cam supporter I'm not downloading any leaks. Gonna go cop the album Tuesday the old fashioned way. Been listening to tons of Drake lately. A lotta Cudi. Akon's first album. Scarface's "Emeritus". U-N-I "A Love Supreme" is crazy good. And then for my ignorant music fix that I always need I've been listening to El Dorado Red outta Atlanta and a bunch of bay area stuff. Jacka, Berner, Ampichino, Messy, Lee Majors, Husalah.
  3. I'm listening to the artist who I think is the favorite to create the best album of 2009: Kid Cudi. Dude is amazing. If Kanye and Cudi write and produce the entire album by themselves it could be a definite classic. The crazy thing about Cudi is that he is just as good a singer and songwriter as he is an MC (Cudi wrote over half of 808's and heartbreaks for Kanye). His style probably isnt for everyone, but try and check out his mixtape "A Kid Named Cudi".
  4. Kanye did not have anything to do with that album besides his dissapointing verse on one of the tracks. That was the whole point of this album for Common; trying to do an album without Kanye for the first time in a long while. I think it was a swing and a miss on Commons part and hopefully Kanye takes back over for his next project.
  5. I think it is good. Mostly because I am a production-head and I enjoy the cinematic quality of his compositions. It's definitely not an album for everyone.
  6. This Kanye album has got me sitting here never wanting a girlfriend again.
  7. That Royce and Premier album has almost reached mythical proportions. I highly doubt that will ever materialize. I've heard that the majority of production on the next Royce album will be handled by Statik Selektah.
  8. The most overlooked MC of this generation... Few have been as consistent over the years. FREEWAY.
  9. I've been listening to "Slaughterhouse" on the repeat for the last couple days. For some reason Nino Bless was included on the track, as he is obviously out of his league tradin bars with the 4 other MC's. Joell Ortiz, Nino Bless, Crooked I, Royce Da 5'9 and Joe Budden - Slaughterhouse
  10. Yes, its a brand new instrumental tape he put out. It's called "Music from the Color Purple". It's supposedly the prelude to his album "Tronic" which is coming out Oct 28. He's also producing the entire collaboration album between Sean Price and Guilty Simpson entitled "Random Axe". So a lot of Black Milk material coming in the near future. Elzhi album is definitley one of my favorites of 2008 so far. I havent listened to Bar Exam 2 yet, but I already downloaded it. When I saw "Royal Flush Freestyle" on the tracklisting, I noticed that song was Royce, Elzhi & Canibus on the same track. Y
