  1. I'm not sure how you could pass him up in a 10-team+ league

    In his last 30 days, he's got 17 runs, 9 HR, 20 RBI, and a BA/OPS of .298/.1011

I'll happily put that kind of production in my line-up every day. Even without the 3-homer game, the recent stats are decent and suggest that he might be able to ride the wave until the season is over.

  2. As usual, it depends on league size and whatnot. Saying "meh" or he's not a must-own seems to be a bit of an oversimplification. In an 8- or 10-team redraft league, sure probably not that valuable... in a 12-team redraft, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's probably OK to have a 40-HR guy as your 5th OF almost regardless of OBP.

  3. He's talented, but irritating to own because he's more fragile than most players. Right now the team has him not playing three consecutive games from him coming off shoulder surgery, which makes sense but it seems like just when he gets going, he gets injured again. That's been my experience as a GP owner anyways .... love the talent, but in daily leagues he's the opposite of a "set it and forget it" player.

  4. ... Not to mention all the other injuries. It's already been shown that the wall always wins when he collides with it, plus he should have been playing the carom off the wall in the first place instead of running full-speed towards it. It's obviously cool to play hard, but he needs to play a little smarter too, especially with his injury history - he's a great CF defensively and fun to watch run, but it won't mean anything if he can't stay on the field.
