ssmarsh 26
I have an opportunity to acquire one of these guys and I'd like to know which one you guys think will have a better year. 10 team, AL only with Wins, ERA, IP-H, K-BB as SP categories.
Bandito 2,543
Well, I have a heck of a lot more faith in Gio to actually make more than 15 appearances, so I'd go that way.

Why do you think Anderson won't make 15 appearances? He's the A's #2 or #3 starter? I'd expect both of them to make 30+ starts.
hailfire4 413
We HOPE Anderson makes 30 starts. I HOPED that last year also. I EXPECTING 15 starts and anything more would be an improvement. Gio is healthier Brett has the upside and injury background. Trade for healthy guys.

I agree that Gio is the better bet for this season, but I still want to hear other opinions. Keep them coming!
Rush2112 4,272
Rather have Gio for SP. I trust him alot more.
bond 0
I think in the long run Anderson is the better pitcher. Like others have said though, the injury risk is scary. Gio is probably the safer pick, at least this year. Help with mine if you don't mind? http://forums.rotoworld.com/index.php?show...p;#entry2088125
ssmarsh 26
Already did. I ended up dealing for Anderson at $1 so it's a low risk add for me.
BIG SKI 41
Gio scares me with all the walks. Anderson hopefully worked on arm strength in the offseason, he killed me last year as well.
And Won 336
I like Anderson, Cahill, & Gio, if you can get 2 of them as SP 4 and 5, that's probably going to be a good staff.
fantasymad 377
To me Anderson is the most talented pitcher on that staff. He has the most upside in my opinion, but his durability has been an issue. I like Anderson more though.
BETTAFISH 206
I think Anderson is the best most complete SP Oaktown has so I say go after him. help me out? http://forums.rotoworld.com/index.php?showtopic=220419

I think you made the right call in going with Anderson, especially @ $1. I like both pitchers, but at least when Anderson has been able to pitch...you know that you are getting a special pitcher. Gonzalez, while he made some strides last year, can turn back into a pumpkin at anytime because of his walks. I think in this case, you had to go upside...and you did. Very Nice!
