You know those internet gags where you're supposed to see something weird if you stare at the dot for 30 seconds--and then there's a screaming ghoul in your face and you about drop the laptop?

That's kinda what the first 45 seconds of this video were like for me.  It kinda draws you in and lulls you to--good grief, what was THAT?!?

For those of you ensnared in the cold, bitter grip of winter like I am here in the midwest, give Father John Misty a shot. Josh Tillman, formerly of Fleet Foxes, playing a caricature of a self-important hipster with cozy, easy-going vibes with funny, biting lyrics. He sounds insufferable, but he can make a good record.

Father John Misty - Chateau #4

That song is awful.

It must be.  It hit #1 on the Canadian Active Rock Radio chart, and we all know how crappy Canadian music is--Bryan Adams, Justin Bieber, Shania Twain--the Headstones can't be much better.  Here's an encore from their previous album (which is just as bad, if not worse, than the new one).

Queen - I want to break free

This song just fits the bill. Whatever i am going through in life right now and everything i would like to experience in the veritable near future the words of Freddie mercury would stay etched in my head forever.

A shame they made that trash movie about him. Deserved a lot better.

Listened to my Queen playlist for three months or so—pathetic I know but I loved the movie so much. Now listening mostly to complete Rolling Stones albums. But late at night I like Alan Parsons Project and Jean-Michele Jarre—especially his Oxygene Trilogy. Always been a fan of the older stuff.
