He's a guy that you can start vs R, bench vs L and get great production from. I like him for leagues where you can find the room to platoon him.

I wouldn't want to have to play him every day but daily leaguers can take advantage of his reduced price (most rankings don't differentiate between daily/weekly leagues,short/long bench etc). Every player will have good games and bad games. I like how predictable Joyce's are.

Like most other people have said, he's a great guy to platoon. He's definitely no going to be the player he was at the beginning of last year, but I don't see him being the player that he was in the second half of last year (shoulder problems). The best bet for the Rays will probably be to platoon him and Brandon Guyer. If you're in a deep enough league, there's a lot worse you can do than platoon the two yourself (if Guyer makes the roster as the 4th outfielder).

I work in the classroom, running plays, learning formations or learning the defensive line, learning what thelinebackers doing. As far as his speed, Richardson said numbers dont matter.Ive never been caught from behind, he said. People who want toquestion my Kevin Durant Jersey speed, look at the tape.Richardson feels there would be no need to replace him with a specialist atany time because he can do it all. When it comes to playing football, I can say look at each game, any gameyou want to and just really try to find a negative, he said. A lot Derrick Rose Jersey of peopletry to find a negative, anything, in your game. It aint too many negatives Ihave out there.Richardson grew up watching Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Petersonand wants to be like him as a pro.

Soooooo...

Matt Joyce went 0-for-4 against the Pirates on Friday, dropping his spring average to .167.

Joyce hasn't had a hit in a week. He does have three homers this spring, but he's struck out 17 times in 54 at-bats. It's not really a cause for concern, but it'd be nice to see him get on a little roll before the season starts. Mar 30 - 4:41 PM

He somehow went undrafted in my 12 teamer. I grabbed him the first day waivers opened after the draft. I actually feel like he might have a better year than last. Not by much mind you, but I do see some room for improvement with him. He will get more AB's since I think he's earned some leash. Even if you have to platoon him at times he probably has 25-15 potential which plays pretty well for a 3 or 4 OF. As long a you don't have to rely on this guy as one of your starting OF from day one he should be a solid reserve guy to have around with some upside for more.

he sure does hammer righties- 2/3, hr, 2 r's, 2 rbi's, 1 bb.

Joyce has been playing against both righties and lefties so far, but Upton's return looms this week... so Upton returns to CF, Jennings slides back to LF, and Joyce returns to RF vs righties presumably, with Zobrist manning 2B. Will Zobrist play RF and Keppinger 2B vs lefties when this happens? Or will Joyce continue to play every day?

I know you wouldn't necessarily start him in daily transaction leagues when he faces a lefty anyway, but I'm just curious if you guys think his playing time will be cut to a true platoon when Upton returns this weekend.

It's way too early but he's been better against lefties. If he can continue the trend then he should be good.

I watched an AB of his versus a lefty the other day. After the 1st pitch I knew he had no chance, he went down swinging on 3 pitches and it was painful to watch. Romero is an exception in that he is much easier on LHB than the standard lefty.
