My favorite thing about this thread is that it's the worst in the forum, it's so bad I actually like it, and even respect it in a sick way. It's a hideously diseased monstrosity out of the late night

Just read that Powell only has one testicle, but it's huge. Starting him with confidence.

The level of delusion in this thread is astonishing

Prediction: 20 carries for 130 yards and 2 TDs.

 I hope you were kidding......

14 touches, 78 yards. Pretty decent output. Good news is that he was the best runner Zona had out there.....Bad news is that is the best matchup he has for a month.....B/c LSH dominated 3rd downs and 2 minutes, he's going to be an ultra-risky and poor play vs good rushing defenses....

Even as someone who owns him, I think most of you will be disappointed tomorrow. AZ doesnt like to run and they cant run. Im taking the under on 15 carries and 65 yards. I would love to be wrong.

Well I set the over under pretty close to what he ended up with. Kid looked good. Flex moving forward with low RB2 upside. Against the vikings next week that kept Morris in line today. No more than a flex next week, but that's value in a lot of leagues. Liked what I saw.

That's bold part right there to be honest assumes the same workload as he got today.

I have a feeling that after today's solid performance, he'll be a much more prominent part of the gameplan moving forward.

Why the F did they keep giving LSH more touches when he couldn't do anything with him. Pretty discouraged in the workload, but pretty impressed with his running ability. He made some plays out of nothing with his speed and vision. If he gets this type of workload going forward it will be tough to start him against some of the tough rush D's coming up. I did not envision this being a 50-50 split.

I dont see Arizona moving to give Powell over 20 touches a game..... I see a somewhat increased role based off today, but not a giant leap. They did play the Bills today too, which is a pretty great matchup.

I could see ~25 touches on offense, between carries and receptions, honestly. He was doing very well.

Then you're only seeing what you want. The Cards didn't even give Beanie that many carries when he was healthy (which wasn't often). There doesn't seem to be a real reason to pull LSH from passing/3rd downs. I agree with Brock, 20 touches would be great for him but again, his next few outings are terrible matchups. Don't be fooled by a home game vs a terrible run defense.....He gets the big boys the next few games and next week is on the road in a dome. The sound will be very loud and a rookie in pass protection??? Not likely. He played well and should get a few more carries though....

I'm not a huge proponent of Powell's, but today was encouraging. Keep in mind he was the 3rd down back when LSH was out. I think the argument that his role could grow is valid.

Did he get all his touches in the 1st half or did I imagine that?

I was all over the place on Red Zone(the fantasy football equivalent of porn btw) and he seemed so quiet in the 2nd half I was sure he was hurt.

Wow, that strangely sounds incredibly accurate.

As for his touches, they seemed to be spread fairly evenly throughout the game. There was a small drought in the 3rd quarter and near the end of the 4th, but otherwise it was normal.

Thanks.

So now what?

He's clearly their guy, as moderately attractive as that is.

Does one stash Beanie the Weenie if hasty owners dropped him without realizing they had an IR slot?

powell is better than beanie wells. wells freaking sucks.

Yes. Yes he does.

But that doesn't mean he's not going to get his job back.

I mean Powell impressed today, but it wasn't some kind of monster effort.

Once you take a flier...hit on a starter...isn't it in your best interest to lock that backfield down until the picture is totally clear?

Especially if you can put him in the IR slot?

if you can burn the spot sure. Problem is maybe they are fighting over a backfield down who is destined to not be productive behind that O Line..... could be a waste of time.
