haramjada 0
the angels suck. so i wouldn't put too much into this effort, but its a nice thing to see regardless. quite frankly im sure minor league pitchers wouldnt have problems pitching to the likes of trout and hamilton. lol, 2 brutal players right there. BustHerPosey 103
2 clean innings, too bad he's on my bench I wouldn't call them clean innings with bases loaded

haramjada 0
Who would everyone rather have ROS, Maholm or Anderson? probably anderson, more easy outs against mike trout.

Yeah he does, along with a lot of brews, Jack Daniels, and cheeseburgers. Hey now, kid's lost a lot of weight since he first came up. Too bad his slider never came back post-TJ. Neither did Liriano's or Strasburg's slurve.
MiggyRunsTings 1,307
holy crap @ the 19 inning game. saw that box score, and anderson having a nice game, prayed that i didn't replace him yet in my starting lineup, went and checked, and he was left in! lol love it. sucks that he came out of the game hobbling or whatever; not that i trust rotoworld/yahoo blurbs in the slightest but they seem to think he was OK and will likely start this weekend. hmm.. juice219 33
Couldn't they just pitch Parker last night? The whole reasoning skipping Anderson was to rest the ankle. This can only push whatever healthy timeline he had way back now.
vornporn 289
Anderson said after the game that his ankle "tightened up" but he thinks he'll be able to make his next start. He's going to continue having problems with this due to the way he lands though. Edited April 30, 2013 by vornporn
Damn Yankee 583
Anderson said after the game that his ankle "tightened up" but he thinks he'll be able to make his next start. He's going to continue having problems with this due to the way he lands though. I agree...he needs to skip a start and get off it and let it heal up
TheGreatUnwashed 268
see Rich Harden. He is nowhere near the injury-proneness of Rich Harden. Brett will be fine and start dominating soon, just wait and see.
mcbane 1,779
Anderson to the DL with the ankle. Straily will stay in Oakland.
Beakman 681
Glad this happened. Let it heal and come back strong.
Damn Yankee 583
what a rollercoaster....answers my question about whether or not I should keep Straily
MiggyRunsTings 1,307
geez the swings. i don't mind this though. brett gonna be dominating soon at a ballpark near you!
mcbane 1,779
From what I heard Anderson basically demanded to pitch in that 19 inning marathon to relieve the relievers, which is commendable, but he tweaked the ankle again so they're DL'ing him. At least two things happened: 1) he pitched very well against the Angels, and 2) it's his ankle and not related to his arm or elbow. Make him stay off the ankle for two weeks and let him be good to go when he comes back.

compsella 912
This guy is reminding of Erik Bedard, circa 5 or so years ago. He'd have these teasing flashes of brilliance coupled with consistent occurrences of various injuries. Could it really be just bad luck for Brett, or is it from poor preparation/conditioning? Matthew 259
Honestly okay with this turn of events, but only because I can afford him a DL slot.
jb_power 3,511
Honestly okay with this turn of events, but only because I can afford him a DL slot. Honestly. I'm OK with this DL move also ... even though Brett is my 7th player currently on the DL. We roster 400+ players in this league and I was just looking thru the list of warm bodies available on the wire ... I felt something slimy and a tad chunky creeping up into my throat Cripes Sakes!!!
