ETA?

I see 2016

Pirates are painfully slow with prospects. Mid-2016 IMO. Kingham had a hot stretch last year in AAA and they didn't even budge on calling him up. Infact he's still in AAA (I think he got hurt too) He'll get promoted to AAA this year..but if they didn't give Kingham a cup of coffee last year i doubt they give it to Glasnow this year.

Tyler Glasnow's tough day over. 3.2 IP, 5 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 4 BB, 1 K. First start back from sprained ankle. Control off and hit hard.

Cory Giger @CoryGiger · 47m 47 minutes ago

Glasnow threw 72 pitches in 3.2 IP. 35 balls, 37 strikes.

Cory Giger @CoryGiger · 44m 44 minutes ago

Glasnow left with runner on, and he later scored. So 6 R, 5 ER charged to Glasnow. ERA jumps from 1.40 to 2.76.

One last note on Glasnow: Had only given up 5 R and 4 ER all season before allowing 6 R, 5 ER today. Gotta think ankle played a role.

Rough start for Glasnow in his first game back.

Where has this guy gone, can't find any news about him, despite his minor "ankle" injury... Seems a long time out for such a boo boo.

As a pirates fan, I can guarantee you that he will not be called up at any time this year. Next June, he will be.

If the Pirates aren't notorious for handling their prospects with kid gloves, they should be. But even this seems slower than usual, even for them.

Found this nugget:

Taking it slow with Glasnow

Tyler Glasnow is slowly working through the return-to-play regimen. Currently, he is making his way through "bullpen progression," and the Pirates are committed to continuing to take it slow with him.

"When we got him out in the game he still felt it so we decided to just go ahead and close things down completely, get that ankle as healthy as he can," Huntington said. "He's now working back through his throwing program, and because we shut him down, even from throwing, there will be a longer time period to get him worked back up again."

I live in Harrisburg but was out of town for work last night. Would have loved to see this kid pitch in person. The must be fun to watch somebody that size throw. Ball is coming put of his hand at probably 55-56 feet which makes that mid-90s seem even faster

Glasnow using his curveball as a strikeout pitch, going from a 97 mph fastball to 78 mph curveball. He has 5 Ks through 4.

Sean McCool @NotSoMcCool 2h2 hours ago

Tyler Glasnow is using his curveball extremely well with two strikes tonight, using it for another K in the fifth.

Sean McCool @NotSoMcCool 44m44 minutes ago

Tyler Glasnow line: 6IP, 7K, 1H, 0BB, 60 strikes in 82 pitches. FB up to 99mph and a NASTY curveball. Best he's been all year.

Sean McCool @NotSoMcCool 44m44 minutes ago

Glasnow's breaking stuff was the difference tonight. His FB was up a few notches on the gun, but the curve got strikeouts.
