Free yahoo, head to head, 7-keeper league needs 2 replacements

Recommended Posts

I'll be pasting some of our unique rules we have for this league below as well as some of the notable keepers for the 2 teams that need a replacement. Our unique set of rules make for an enjoyable playing experience

Here's the stats we count:

hitting- r, rbi, hr, sb, avg, of assist

pitching- era, whip, k, qs, sv, hr allowed

total of 12 cats

we vote openly in league post on lopsided trades (we try to avoid vetos)

trading is welcome and we had probably some where around 30 of them last year

It's a 14 team league

every manager was active on a daily basis last year and we are looking for the same in a replacement, but geez... if you go on vacation set your lineups ahead of time. I'm not going to bother you for not setting your lineup one day, in other words

7 keepers

7 weekly moves limit

15 innings pitched limit

We trade in the offseason (time after we sign up before draft)

Our draft is next Sunday the 15th at 7pm eastern time

We'll start with draft order, hence earlier discussion today. I'll be making separate post to cover all league rules. Bare with me this may take a couple of nights

Draft Order

We voted on this early last year and it was a unanimous vote for the 1st round to be a reverse of the final standings from the year before, and then the draft will snake after that

I will determine the final standings by going back into last years league overview and looking at last years final standings (For those of you who do not know how to do this, go to "League" in the tool bar and click "Overview". This will take you to our league page. Simply move cursor over the Year "2015" at the top right of the page, click it, and you can go back to any year this league has participated in.

This year's 1st round order

1. That's What Chishek

2. Situational Leftists

3. Harper's Heroes (if we find a replacement)

4. It's Elementary (if we find a replacement)

5. Big Papi Rings

6. Wabbit Hunters

7. The Texas Leaguers

8. Soler Storm

9. The Dude Abides

10. Victorious_Secret

11. Brians Taking the East

12. Can of Corn

13. Bulldogs

14. Chicken Dinner

Keeper rules

7 keepers

Rounds 26-20 move up 4 rounds from prior years draft
19-10 move up 3 rounds
9-1 move up 2 rounds

Keepers picked up through free agency will be kept last as long as they were not drafted the year before

If a keeper is drafted the year before he can not be kept last even if he was dropped and then picked back up

There is no limit on how long you can keep a player

If a keeper that moves 3 rounds falls behind a keeper that moves 2 rounds they will both move 3 rounds. same goes for a keeper that moves 4 rounds behind a keeper that moves 3 rounds, they will both move 4 rounds (as long as we all play by the same rules, that's what's important here)

To amend last years rule, if you keep 2 free agents, their age will determine which one is kept 26th and 25th. the youngest keeper will be kept 25th and the older 26th. (this way I don't have to ask every manager which one goes where)

When keepers move up to the 1,2, & 3rd rounds they can still be kept and will be kept in the same round they were kept the year before

If a manger acquires keepers that were drafted in the same rounds they will move up as follows

Example:

A manager has two 12th round picks, by rule they move up 3 rounds, the youngest keeper will move up 4 rounds and the oldest will take his normal progression of 3 rounds. If a manager were to keep 3 12th rounders then one will move up 4 rounds, one 3 rounds, and the last 2 rounds. youngest to oldest

If a manager acquires extra 1st,2nd, and 3rd round keepers through trades that didn't involve their 1-7 picks, keepers at this point can move backwards. Where they are slotted in rounds 1-7 will first be determined by the round they were drafted in the prior year, then by their age

If we discover an issue with any of these rules as we move forward we will address it at that time, if we run across something we don't have a rule for we'll create one when fair play is in doubt.

Trading picks

We'll adopt the.... if you trade a pick, you can not keep a player that would be kept in that round

We can only trade picks during the season, no pick trading during the off-season

All players involved in trades during the off-season will have to be kept, unless the keeper is injured after the trade before the deadline to choose keepers

If a manger trades a pick that a keeper would fall on and the manager would still like to keep that player, and has an opening in a round before that traded pick. The manger can keep that player and have him move UP in the draft more than normal progression to keep that player. If there are no open rounds before that pick than the keeper can not be kept
