BigPapi44 1,050
3-4 with a double tonight, up to .290AVG. Already has 24 doubles (he had 27 all of last year in 150+ more ABs for comparison) so although his home run numbers are down considerably, he is at least getting extra base hits. Think he's ready to get up to the show to do some damage.
Dark One 492
The thing is though (and this has been the rub with him all along), where do you play him? You've got Choo at DH, Mazara/DeShields/Gallo in the OF, Profar as the utility guy and even Odor is having a resurgence at 2B (not that they'd consider playing him there anyway). It just doesn't seem like he has a path to everyday AB's - at least this year. Edited July 3, 2018 by Dark One

MireLurker 285
Both Choo and Beltre may be leaving town before the deadline, that opens up a corner OF spot and DH for Calhoun. It might be time to stash in redrafts...

murraygd13 1,165
Does Calhoun qualify as a rookie in 2019? He has more than 130 MLB at bats, but in two different seasons.

daynlokki 424
Fact is Calhoun is atrocious with the glove, he has no true home outside of DH long term. His bat may be good, but usually most DH bats will be at least equivalent.
sagrim 95
Calhoun is batting .266 on the year with 5 homers but seems to be warming up at the plate in his last four games. He may be back to playing 2B as a potential move to make him a utility player. rotorwire blurb "Calhoun was a second baseman in the Dodgers organization until he was moved to the outfield. Part of the reason for the shift to outfield was the lack of athleticism he showed while playing at 220 pounds. The Rangers deployed him as outfield only since acquiring Calhoun, but they now feel he's in better shape and can handle infield duty. The move could pave the way for Calhoun to reach the major-league roster in a utility role, particularly if second baseman Rougned Odor (.157/.259/.255) continues to struggle at the plate." mpbaseball22 1,317
1% chance he ever plays second base
