Any top hitting prospect. I'm just saying this is about to be the peak of his name value. There is no such thing as a pitching prospect.

I wasn't being serious. But you may be right...

Another damn good start for him today:   5IP, 5H, 0ER, 1BB, 5Ks

Holding his own at AA. Another good start yesterday:   6IP, 4H, 1ER, 1BB, 1K.

3 hits and 11 K's in 6 innings tonight.  Very impressive.

He's chugging along. 6IP, 3H, 1ER, 2BB, 3Ks.

It's getting hard to rank the A's pitching prospects.

Allard, Anderson, Soroka, Gohara, Weigel

A's? or Braves?   and you forgot Fried

Also Newcombe and Sims who are both in aaa

And the guy they got from the dbacks for cash or whatever. Forgot his name

Touki Toussaint.

Anyways, Allard is awesome but I'd be very surprised to see him before midseason 2018.

That's a long list.

Allard

Weigel

Gohara

Toussaint

Fried

Soroka

Newcombe

Sims

Anderson

Good case to be made that top 10 SP in the minors are predominantly Braves?

There's also Kyle Muller, Joey Wentz and Bryse Wilson who could be # 1 Pitching prospects in a lot of systems. But Allard is the best in the braves system in my opinion.

No. I think Allard and Fried are the only ones I'd consider top 10 and good argument for neither. Not close to 6/10.

They do have the best pitching prospect core in the minors and not too close.

Who's in your top 10 SP?

Kopech? McKenzie? Keller? Giolito? Woodruff? Espinosa?

For me in no particular order:

Kopech

Honeywell

De Leon

Espinoza

McKenzie

Cease

Allard

Martes

Hader

Reyes

Keller, Buehler, Y. Alvarez, R. Lopez, Fedde, Newcomb, Groome, Mahle could all be in the discussion.

I have ZERO belief in Giolito.

Erik (Portland): Braves' future ACE is . . . Kolby Allard or Mike Soroka?
J.J. Cooper: Kyle Wright? Luiz Gohara? Ian Anderson? If I have to pick between Allard and Soroka, I’d say Allard because I’ll take the lefty, but both are very good prospects.

Misleading outing last night. 52/3IP, 3ER, 9Ks

Was cruising until the 5th, let two on with two outs and then had an epic 14-pitch AB with the hitter fouling off about 10 good pitches, which ultimately led to a 2-run double. Was pulled and the reliever allowed the third run to score.

Four straight outings of 6 or more IP with 1 or fewer ER's - any chance he gets the call at some point this summer?? He's not a dominant K/IP kind of guy but seems to be a true pitcher & those types generally seem to transition to MLB level better than the flamethrowers.

I'm no scout but like what this guy is doing for one so young. ATL going to be good for years to come with all the young talent they have.
