This is why I can live with him having a bad average. He completely dominates stolen bases. If he can stay healthy we are looking at 80 steals and 100 runs.

Or 100 steals and 80 runs

How has he not learned to slap-hit Ichiro-style yet? I guess it's harder than it looks, but damn it drives you crazy thinking of the potential of this dude (esp. me as a Reds fan - cmon Votto teach this guy how to draw a 20% walk rate!). He only needs to get on base to effectively turn a single into a double or a triple.

man this guy is electric!! (when he hits) aha.  Laces a triple first at bat and then hits a good pitch for what should have been a 2 rbi single, but he had his mind set on 2.  Then he steals 3rd.

  • I always try to invest in guys that have elite, best in the game, skills. Usually after a few tweaks here and there, they become serviceable in their weak points and this only amplifies their strength exponentially. I am betting on Hamilton becoming a solid .270/.340 hitter. This will translate to 100r/70sb. This would make him a top 30 player.

i actually think he's already been a 70, 80sb guy at his current hitting level if he could just get through a season healthy. the past 2 years he's gotten about 60 in spite of missing a month each year. he's been stealing at a consistent 75 per 600 PA pace, which he should get easily as a leadoff hitter. if he's healthy, on base more and his SB technique keeps improving the upside is 100+, vince coleman type stuff imo

Anytime this guy hits a bloop "single" he ends up at 2nd. Anytime he hits a gap shot its an automatic triple. If by some miracle he gets held at 1st he just steals 2nd. Legend.

Waiting for him to drop below Mendoza line.. 50/50 chance he gets dropped in some leagues. (Wishful thinking for me.. But actual possibility)
