Back to the #AZCardinals & RB David Johnson: With him expected to be out several weeks, don’t be surprised if veteran Chris Johnson returns

I may just preemptively pick him up now so I don't have to scramble or spend a waiver priority to get him.

He'll likely start and get most of the carries if AZ signs him back up.

Reporting that it's the same prognosis as TJ Logan who is out 12 weeks.  What was his issue?

Cardinals rookie running back T.J. Logan was diagnosed with a dislocated wrist that will require surgery, coach Bruce Arians said Saturday. Logan will be placed on injured reserve and is expected to miss about 12 weeks, which could put his return around Week 8, Arians added.

Speaking Monday, Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said David Johnson is seeking a second opinion on his wrist injury, but that his current prognosis is the same as T.J. Logan's, who is on injured reserve with a wrist issue.

Arians called Johnson's wrist "dislocated." ESPN's Adam Schefter has pegged Johnson's two possible timelines as 2-4 weeks or 3-4 months. 3-4 months is what Logan was saddled with when he went down in early August. We will get final word some time in the next 24 hours. What's clear is that Johnson shouldn't be in Week 2 lineups.

Just tried.  He last played for AZ, so it's gone to waivers.  Crap

Well, I'm going to win Week 1.  I have Zeke, and DeMarco as my first 2 picks.  So, I was using Hyde as my flex.  I'm HAPPY to have DJ for the back half of my season.  It's actually a no brainer for me.

Yea but lol who wants a guy that's on the fritz of missing a ton of time?

Treatment for a dislocated wrist:

Carpal dislocations usually require surgical treatment by a specialist wrist and hand surgeon. He or she will put the bones back in place and repair any ligament and soft tissue damage. The wrist is then immobilised in a cast for 8 weeks to allow time for the injury to heal.

Once out of the plaster cast a full rehabilitation program with wrist strengthening exercises should be done to restore the hand and wrist to full normal functioning and help prevent any future injury.

First play.  Stupid Arians indeed, playing with an untreated wrist dislocation is just asking for trouble.  High risk of more damage to the ligaments and nerves.

A wrist dislocation isn't in the the same ball park as as dislocated toe, finger or even elbow...  Finger?  Sure, pop it back in and go.  The wrist is an order of magnitude more complex than a finger... a mess of 8 carpal bones and ligaments... not even within the realm of possibility of just "popping it back in".

Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said the team is considering re-signing free agent RB Chris Johnson following David Johnson's wrist injury.

It's an obvious development with David expected to miss a minimum of 2-4 weeks. Were he to land back in the desert, Chris would form a three-man committee with Kerwynn Williams and Andre Ellington.

Gonna wait until official reports come out instead of believing the regurgitated twitter posts by twitter channels reposting RapSheet.
