Yeah, Cam at home has been money basically since October outside of the Vikings game (which he still won obviously, but wasn't great for fantasy). Plus he's got probably the best match-up possible (outside of maybe Green Bay, that defense is terrible).

After a bit of an up and down year, he's pretty clearly the #1 FF QB heading into week 16. I don't think there's anyone you'd rather start with Wilson and Brady struggling, and Big Ben losing Brown. I'd put him up against anyone in the finals pretty confidently.

Love his high ceiling. It's his low floor that's the problem.

Other than the Vikings game, he's had 17 or better in his last 6 games.  With 2 30+ games.

He's been more consistent since he started practicing more.

He did throw up that stinker vs TB last time, but I don't think his floor is as low as it was earlier in the season.

He's also had the stinker vs the Jets going 168 passing and 28 rushing and a TD. (16.72 points)

In 6 point passing TD leagues, 21 points is a good game for a QB. 225 yards and 2 TDs or 300 yards and 1 TD (with 300 yard bonus).

With Cam's rushing prowess, maybe 25 if you tack on 40 yards on the ground.

Yet Cam has had 19 or less in half of his games (7/14).

I have him with 17.52 in standard in that Jets game.

But I think there's a big difference in 1st half Newton and 2nd half Newton.

Something was probably still wrong with his shoulder and the lack of practice reps really showed on game day.

He's been alot more consistent in the second half.  I wouldn't hesitate to start him at home for the Championship where he's had some monster games.

I'm looking at the first few games of the season as Cam's preseason. He's always been inaccurate, but not like he was those first few games... since then he has been pretty great. Like I said in my post last week, his game vs Green Bay was the first all season that he has been in good health, in a good matchup, and had all his weapons. Olsen, Funchess, McCaffrey and Byrd are legitimate weapons.

His floor is significantly higher at home. The Panthers offense hasn't traveled well, but they've been consistent at home. The Vikings were the only team to keep Cam under 20 fantasy points at home since week 3.

Start Cam in week 16. It's a no brainer.

Just checked his last 4 home games vs Tampa Bay on Pro Football Reference.

12 total TDs (8 passing and 4 rushing)

Averaging about 240 passing and 45 rushing yards per game.

That would be great for chip weekend.

And there is a good chance McCoy won't play, which would be huge for Cam's fortunes, as bright as they already are.
