My Dinner With Andre 5,743
The usage is bizarre.
jdizzle 182
I don't get it?? He looked good yesterday why back to the pen?

radioflyer9 59
Roberts is an idiot! Maeda is by far a better pitcher then Ryu. Maeda has pitched really well when given the chance. I just don't understand this reason to put him in the bullpen.
radioflyer9 59
He will still technically give us a 4 inning outing sometime throughout the week but now we have to guess which day that will be

My Dinner With Andre 5,743
Why does Maeda even stand for this? He's not some unproven pitcher on a rookie contract...
Random Dude 827
For those who don't already own him, this is a good buying opportunity. He has shown the ability to help your ratios and get some Ks out of the pen. He will also have good opportunities to run into some wins out of the long relief role also. At some point he will end up back in the rotation, and I really think he can still be helpful in the meantime. Owners are clearly frustrated and you should be able to acquire him at a good price considering his season long ERA, the "demotion" to the bullpen, and the negative rotoworld blurb showing for him. My Dinner With Andre 5,743
Maeda threw 78 pitches on Sunday. So when would he be available for his relief appearance?

He will most likely be on standard rest. So 5 days until his relief appearance.
absknicks 3,002
Well he came in... for one inning.

My Dinner With Andre 5,743
So is Maeda back to being a starter again or is he going to throw another inning or two over the weekend? Most annoying pitcher to own ever.
Fiveohnine 1,496
There are other guys who also belong on waivers that are more annoying to own, I'm sure. Dont get me wrong. I liked him when I drafted him. But if you can't hold a rotation spot, you can't help me. Edited June 24, 2017 by Fiveohnine
exm 248
Dropped. What a waste of a pick.
herschel 1,986
Kenta Maeda will start Tuesday against the Angels. The Dodgers will move all of their starters back a day. Maeda has spent the better part of a month see-sawing between the bullpen and the starting rotation. The right-hander sports a mediocre 4.87 ERA in his 11 starts this year. jdizzle 182
Pitching a gem tonight. Please stay in the rotation and no more bullpen!
Rhandome 63
ESPN has him starting again on Sunday... hope that's true.
Kamura 395
Oof is the point in time where we get back on the train? Interesting man.....
Fiveohnine 1,496
I would think a lot of people grabbed him to start vs. LAA regardless.

Fiveohnine 1,496
Personally I liked him a lot when I drafted him. But it doesn't really matter how good your stuff is when you're sitting in the pen waiting for clean up duty. I hope he sticks this time though.

But it does because it's a particular level of upside, and a decent proximity to it. I'm not saying I don't understand it, but I would not do it in even a ten team mixed, and personally do t believe it should be done.
street sharks 3,238
God I do and don't want to get on this train again. It'd be just my luck to pick him up only for him to have another phantom DL stint or go back to the bullpen
