Brandon McCarthy's (shoulder) turn in the Dodgers' rotation will be skipped. McCarthy was pushed back from Saturday to Sunday after hurting his left (non-throwing) shoulder in the weight room, and then Sunday's game was rained out. Rather than have him take the ball Monday, the Dodgers have decided to just keep everyone else on turn and let McCarthy heal. Alex Wood will face the Pirates on Monday. I think so. Scared to put him in in my weekly league!

Caelum 717
He was originally supposed to pitch Wed vs. Pit before the rainout brought the possibility of pushing everyone back a day. I believe skipping McCarthy puts everyone back on the original schedule (wood-urias-maeda va pit).

chud12 4,076
Looks like he is compeltley out of that early season slumber, glad I picked him up for these last 3 starts.. C, SO could occur tonight..
PirateFan43 22
What an excellent break for Maeda owners. Instead of having to pitch at Coors (where GMs probably would've benched him), he gets to face the Pirates at home. Throws an absolute 8 1/3 inning gem. The accumulation of little breaks like this throughout the season are so impactful. Can be the difference between winning or losing your league in the final week. street sharks 3,278
I gotta admit I was close to dropping him but I had to remind myself that he faced Colorado and AZ twice to start the season lol
Cmilne23 10,559
Pirates will be the gift that gives a lot this year. Just an atrocious lineup.

What a sucky team the Pittsburgh Pirates are - thank goodness for that schedule change!

treat88 615
Pirates suck for sure, but Maeda deserves a lot of credit. He's been legit his last 3 outings regardless of opponent.

My Dinner With Andre 5,805
Sooooo the Dodgers have figured out how to deploy a 6-man rotation with only 5 roster spots being utilized. Got it.
