Coming off back to back 12-K outings in A+. I think he's ready for AA.

Maybe Reynaldo Lopez gets promoted to start Friday like rumors suggest. Kopech gets promoted to AAA to replace Lopez. Hansen gets promoted to AA to replace Kopech. He was a 1-1 candidate to go first overall in the 2016 draft, but fell to the second round and pick 49 overall.

Promoted to AA yesterday.

He is your current MiLB strikeout leader with a 174 ks in 131 innings.

A : 92 ks in 72.2 innings.

A+ : 82 ks in 58.1 innings.

Just browsed a few lists and he seems to be rather underrated--I guess we will see when the big pubs put there's forward in a few months. Besides Whitley and maybe Burnes there weren't many arms that raised their profile more than this guy. Misses bats and has the stuff/repertoire. I'd invest if his owner slept thru the end of the season...

I think so, too. If he shows up in the first month and demonstrates the control problems are two years in the rear-view mirror, he's going to shoot up lists. He's getting dinged because he was a little old for the levels he played last year and people aren't convinced the White Sox were able to solve his issues, but the stuff is there to excel at higher levels.

I like Hansen... I did some video homework where I'd pause his pitches about half way to home plate, and try to guess if it was fastball or slider

It's hard to guess right. There's still a stinky floor here, but he is definitely flashing upside. And the frame (6'6 I believe) combined with the prolific K #'s.. I am in.

in fact, I'm in a dynasty rebuild and just flipped Dozier+Snell for Verdugo+Hansen+Kieboom.  I think the fate of that trade rests largely on Hansen (or maybe Snell?)

Anyhow, hoping for good things from this giant.
