watching the Red Sox team and this pair of announcers are the worst so far this year. never heard so much fawning over players, it is possible to say something not overly complimentary.

The play-by-play guy is bad and they subbed in Mike Timlin for the west coast swing.  He is terrible too.

Remy and Eck usually. I watch a lot of baseball games every day so comparing is almost 2nd nature. On my 3rd game of the day already.

Both these guys are good in their own ways.  Remy still not back from the surgery.  And Eck was being verbally abused a couple of weeks back on the team plane by David Price in front of the whole team because Eck was giving a realistic analysis and not kissing a** like Timlin was doing.  Eck will be back no doubt for the home stand which starts with Mr Whine aka Price on the mound for the first game against KC.  That should be fun.  Hell, Eck will be professional but a lot of Sox fans wish there was a way to trade away Price at the deadline.

Price is becoming a major poison in the clubhouse and he is rumored to have demanded Dombrowski fire John Farell because he didn't like what Farell told him a few days ago.  The three of them were in the same room together a couple of days ago with Price screaming at Farell an inch away from his face.  Farell can't control him.

Price seems to be trying to become the team leader and pry some of the younger players away into Whineville with him.  Dude turned up the clubhouse music to full blast when a reporter was trying to interview not him but Chris Sale who was having no problems with being interviewed.  Price has some major psychological issues and playing east coast baseball with all the pressure that comes with it is bringing them out of the woodwork.

Unfortunately Price has the stupid, mega-contract and managers go before star players and Farell isn't all that good anyway what to speak of finding a way to control Price.  Sox are busy sabotaging their season thanks to Price Gone Wild.

Well Darvish's trade value just dropped through the pavement.

No way.

One game means absolutely nothing, his sample size is quite extensive. This start does nothing to lower his trade value and certainly not " through the pavement" by any means. It's actually the opposite effect here, teams will be more aggressive and the Rangers may be more willing to budge on a deal.

His trade value increases.

Mets are throwing a double A arm tomorrow. Streaming the entire SD team.

I caught a little of Mike Timlin the other night - actually liked him. He knew when to talk and when to not talk, had a good sense of humor. Told a story about hitting Derek Jeter in the head. Just caught a little bit though.
