Guarantee you as Harper just muffed that Duvall liner, he was heading back to the wall thinking of his payday at the end of the year.

Previous years he'd have crashed into the wall making a brilliant catch, holding the ball in the air while lying on his back then being taken off the field by trainers.

Yeah. He's kind of like Votto with more counting stats.

I nearly took Harper in such a league but went with Nolan. If you could guarantee me Bryce plays 150 games this year, I'd have taken him, but I don't want to worry about injury risk with a #3 pick.

looking like hes gonna have a monster year....dont own him but i hope he does. its good for baseball.

4 walks today as well. braves wanted absolutely no part of him.  stud for OBP/OPS leagues.

kinda regret not taking him this year.  health only question of course

Health permitting he's looking like he's going to put up huge numbers this year

*every year lol

But ya, it's his walk year, he will definitely be extra motivated to perform

I own no Harper stocks this year, but there's just something about this guy that screams "you are watching a historically great player"

He has that Kobe Bryant like tenacity to be great too (the guy that sleeps in the gym after not leaving all night because he has to make 500 shots before going home just because). Raw talent + being the hardest worker in baseball is going to make for some special production.

He's going to put it altogether for 155 games one of these years and put up the type of numbers that might not be matched for several decades down the road.

Don't get me wrong, Trout is clearly the best player in the game, but Trout is more just a really safe/high floor type of player.

Harper could put up 60 bombs, and an OBP that pushes .500
